This is one of the big wrestling videos people have asked me to get back on KZbin. I always find factions interesting but Wade Barrett's Corre was a complete disaster as they were often beaten up by Big Show and Kane. They did somehow win the Intercontinental title and the tag belts. But unlike Gunther, Wade Barrett will not be remembered as an excellent IC champion. More like what Barrett should’ve been. Cena ruined that at summerslam when he buried the nexus. If wade won that match his career would’ve been very different. Cena even acknowledged in a later interview that he made the wrong decision. Cuz I’m pretty sure nexus was originally supposed to win, but cena used his backstage power to change to outcome cuz he wanted to send the fans home happy.

What happened to that Corre vs. New Nexus rivalry they were doing at the beginning? They brawled at the beginning of the Royal Rumble, which should have meant they were gonna feud into Wrestlemania 27. But it didn't happen and they decided to move things along as if nothing ever happened. The feud could've been great but instead the WWE decided to bury both groups by having them get destroyed by the Big Show, Kane, and Randy Orton killing any momentum they had and setting both groups up to fail

I must be one of maybe three people that own The Corre t-shirt...and yes I only bought the shirt because I was a big Wade Barrett fan and really liked the Corre's V5 theme song. Such a shame how the faction was booked, side note, Ezekiel's run in Lucha Underground is really underrated, loved his work there.

Match 2 is actually around the time i stopped tuning in too. Cena looked like such a spoiled child at this time. Around the time nxt was bringing in so much talent, that nobody wanted to put over. It felt so weird watching. You could feel the backstage chatter in the ring.
