Terrified Horse now lame desperately needs to be caught!! Here we see an uncatchable scared horse that's become lame and in need, to add to its fear the last time it was touched by a human was hit with static electricity... this is a tough one see how we get on

I love the fact that in your comment, you connect dogs.....because I have a rather Large dog who can be very pushy with "us humans"...I've actually started to use some of the same methods Steve uses with "planting", backing up and looking at us w/both eyes with my very large husky...and it IS working very well for us. In our case...my Husky needed a leader. That being said...I love watching how he works with these owners to turn their "negatives" into "positives"...the horses are much much happier and the owners are much less stressed too.

I love your comment about being a dog whisperer, I've been called a Parrot whisperer, after many years of rehabilitating and rehoming so many unwanted parrots people buy them thinking they will talk or they match their decor in their homes, then find out they are living breathing loud biting messy animals who need a flock and interaction, not locked in a room alone. At one time I had a dozen I was working with, once I had rehomed all of those I choose to get out of it and live with just my 2 spoiled rotten parrots, one who as I write this begging for head scratches, while the other is letting me know its bedtime. Ughhh the life of a parrot mom.🦜🤷‍♀

I really wondered how Steve was going to do this. It seemed impossible. However, the dedication to this horse 🐴 was amazing. Thank you Steve. ❤

Great work Steve. I've used the same techniques, learned in some of the same places, for many years out here on the South-west coast of British Columbia, Canada. I was trained both in Canada by men who had trained cow ponies, race horses, and Polo ponies, and in a cavalry school in North-west France where the only female cavalry teacher at the time taught us to handle and ride the young Arabians and Barbs that had been running wild in North Africa only a couple of weeks earlier. It is so good to see this work demonstrated on-line as when I started there was only a handful of books, a few photos, and the experience and advice of a few great old horse-men and horse-women. I'm past my training days now but get a lot of pleasure seeing you pass on this material. It will allow so many good horses to have pleasant lives with kind and effective owners.

It is amazing to see the changes in the horses countenances during these videos. And the relaxed state the horses are in once they have the communication from you that makes sense to them and the time and attention to allow them to discover and change.

I’m always confused about how you can make something the horses idea but you do it so easily and then I’m smacking my head and saying “brilliant”. Lovely horse and a group of lovely ladies. Glad you were able to help them.

I really love watching Steve work with owners and horses. Because honestly the more I watch him the more I realize he's building bridges of trust and respect between them so each can have a bright future. Its kinda like a Cinderella story each time.

Thank you Steve Young for understanding the horse, it works. I was foolish in the beginning with my horse and then I learned to "think like a horse" and the difference was amazing.

Cesar Milan and you Steve, Have the one thing in common that you understand how horses think the way Cesar understands how dogs think and behave. You are both calm and assertive leaders and the animals can put their trust in you because they all need a pack leader.
