Congratulations on your engagement! Hoodie size medium 😄 think the desert is scarier to camp in than the forest. Between the snakes, tarantulas, coyotes and people it's like there's no quiet secluded campsite to relax at. I'll take the forest over the desert. Besides, camping in the desert is like camping at the beach. You always end up with sand in your tent! Anytime you're going up a mountain the elevation can cause you to struggle more. Aside from the change in air pressure, the higher you go the lower the oxygen levels. That's why you get short of breath just doing something you would normally do without an issue.
