We don’t show my horse because I’m still training him, he’s an off the track Standardbred and we got him after I had one lesson, I took a break from training/riding him to learn to ride and then started again and he’s doing really well now and he might show in some western events next year!

Yes, showing is exhausting! I haven't shown my current horse (excluding casual play days) because he is a spaz attack and lessons are exhausting enough for me! 😜I'm old too... I need to have part of my weekend stress free 😌

So proud of sophie, she didn’t hang on his mouth, nice strong half halts but a generous release. I know the girls killed it! Gabby looks like a superstar. And I do think gabby could almost handle a show by herself. She’s killin it!!

Oh the nostalgia, Pony Club during my younger years (much younger lol) dress up days were the most enjoyable. It's so great to see kids and their ponies having fun together. What great memories were made.

I love how far Sophie came from the start of the show season this year to the end of it. I think it was the first show and she wouldn't even canter Finn and now she canters and jumps him. Good job, Sophie!

I show one of my horses and we actually had a show yesterday. It went extremely well for us and I had a blast. Horse show days are super long. The shows I go to are very mixed and will have like 70 classes in a day. We got there before 8 am and didn't leave until after 5 pm. Wears me out but it's also a lot of fun.

Growing up I didn’t show my horses until I join 4H. Now as an adult I’ve trained my current horse from the ground up, he wasn’t even Halter trained yet, and now he’s 4 years old, an we’re planning to go to our first show on the 21st of this month! And it’ll be the first time I’ve ever showed English, I’ve always showed western growing up, But since I wanna jump! I’m riding English nowadays 💖

Shows are a lot of work and cold, dark mornings really aren’t any fun. Preparation and organisation are definitely key and leaving enough time, but that is hard when you’ve got more than one horse to ride in a class and with Covid you have to be quicker with everything, so it’s taking away some of the fun and comraderie. Takes me back to my youth when we used to have fancy dress classes, some of the things that parents thought they could put on a pony were ridiculous 🤣, ended up with plenty of loose ponies 🤣 Finn was being a little testing with the bit, probably due to the change back and Sophia being a little anxious, I’m sure he’ll settle again 👍 Looking forward to seeing the girls rounds and I predict Chino was champion 😊🤞

I really think that winter finn is different then summer finn! Either that or the bit change has really messed him up. I'm hoping we can get the old finn back and I'm hoping that all the confidence and skill sophie got this summer is enough to carry her through the winter!

You could put fins tail in a tail bag. You could wash it the day before show and then put it in the bag and it’d be clean for the show.

Are you planning on showing Penny? I know she probably won't be jumping(though there's a couple that do). There is gaited dressage, most open shows allow gaited horses(running walk instead of trot). I think Penny is a good horse to change people's minds on gaited horses. Can't wait to see the rides.

I show my horses. I am currently doing hunters and equitation but I kind of want to move to jumpers. I had a show yesterday and it went pretty well! The pony that I was showing (Monty) was a champ even though he is 27 and it was pretty cold when I got to the barn

If you set the tail with cold water Then put warm water in a bucket and shampoo Then put his tail into the bucket Then twisted it's round like a fairest wheel After that brush it out and wait for it to dry That's what I do I don't know if it will work try it!

@@queenofhearts6127 possibly they have had some vet intervention, they just haven’t shown it... but they do seem very open and like they would video that if it was the case... but you also see him ridden regularly when he is sore. No one is perfect but gosh he look uncomfortable to ride! Can’t be nice for horse or rider..... often feet issues can be caused by an underlying problem that causes the horse to load differently and therefore you have referred pain in the feet and conformational changes to how the feet grow... flat under run heels ect.. I hope they get to the bottom of it.

We show where we live at all times of the day most our local fun show and point shows start at 6pm and jackpots anywhere from 8am to12 and last all day. It's exhausting doing night shows but it's all worth it in the end
