Horses have a hierarchy. When you bring two together that are not pasture mates, or familiar with each other, there first instinct is to determine dominance and set up boundaries. Domestic horses that are kept stalled the majority of the time pick up odd quirks and behaviors because their instincts get scrambled, but as far as this goes, it was the one horse telling the other, I'm dominate, and you need to keep your distance.

That was just a dominance display. No malice intended. I am frankly surprised that more of the horses don't react badly to each other considering how closely they ride to each other in processions etc. Horses are like people, sometimes they just don't get on with each other.

Most of the tourist are not so bad but there is some really non listening tourists that just don't want to listen the first time and has to be told more than one or twice sometimes even three times

One more question. For awhile I have been trying to determine the reason for the design of the Kings Guards helmets. Why is the Chin strap worn, almost over the lips? Does the chipstof the kings guards helmets serve a purpose for instance, does the nose piece come down Because at this time it would prevent injuries from swords to the eyes and nose, or does it provide a cover for the eyes so that the enemy could not see where they were looking.
