Hi Amyscrypt, I have visited this place a couple of times before, I once had a cell lock in. I had a really creepy experience myself there, I cannot remember the cell number but this was really scary. I was in a group on the same tour with haunted horizons. Anyway we had a cell lock in, and I sat down, everyone had there torches on and Alison yelled out that the doors where closing. Anyway we all flicked the torches off, and I could feel a crawling tingling sensation on my face, I closed my eyes and told the people I feel a little light headed, so someone flicked the torch on and I looked down on the bench and saw a hand print facing toward me, they flicked the torch off again and then Alison yelled timed up, we flicked the torches on and the hand print dissapeared, we then left the cell and I felt normal again. It was a really cool but extremely creepy experience at that Gaol.

I think jails and prisons are haunted too a certain degree. So much happens there with so much negative emotions. I work as a C.O. at a max security prison in Sweden and maaan there is so many stories I could tell. Disembodies steps, lights and alarms going off in buildings that are empty and inmates that refuse to stay in certain cells because they say they can't sleep because the intercoms on the wall is making strange noises like someone from the guard room is trying to talk to them. Wish I could take you there! It would be so much fun doing a real investigation there. 😃

Every corridor in the prison has normally 20 cells and in one of the corridors, room number 20, down in the corner of the corridor, is the one our inmates don't want to be in. So, this is well known among us c.o.'s so we tend to not place people in room no 20 if we know they have mental health issues, since it's has happened way to often that they get psychotic episodes or get depressed if they stay in the cell. If that is because people scare them, because this is also well known among the inmates, we don't know. We just know that room no 20 is not a good room for inmates with mental health issues. We received a new inmate late in the evening one day, just before we lock up for then night. He was one of the "tough guys", normal guy that ended up very wrong, but no mental health issues or anything. Calm and polite. So, with no other option I had to place him in room no 20. We lock up, everything is calm, I go home to sleep before going back to work morning shit the day after. At 7 the next morning, as usual we unlock all the rooms so the inmates can get out to the kitchen and the common room and socialize a bit before they go off to work at the laundry at 8:30. Everything was fine, no complains from the night guards or other inmates. Until I lock up room no 20. The poor young man is sitting in his bed, pressed in the corner, and he is not happy. He mumbles a "Good morning" to me and then ask if he can talk to me later. Of course, after shipping of all the other inmates to the laundry I sit down with him. He ask me if it is possible to change room and corridor, but when I ask why he is very hesitant to tell me the reason. I was starting to suspect that he had been harassed and threatened by some other inmates, but no, that was not the case, but he insisted on changing room. After playing a game of back and forth with no real answers from him a while I decided to ask straight forward if he had been troubled with noises and bad dreams. He says something like: "If I tell you, you will send me off to the loony-bin. I just don't want to sleep another night in that room. Please! I will fucking hit someone if I have too, but I'm not staying in that room. Okay?" But after assuring him that he wouldn't be the first to experience this I got him to admit that the night intercom had turned on twice and he would have thought that the guards messed with the new guy, if it wasn't for the fact that he had felt like someone had pushed him out of the bed several times during the night. He was very convinced that the room was haunted. I let him change room and after that he was never a problem to anyone, never complained about ghosts or anything.
