The town was originally named by Bohemian colonist Augustine Herman the Village, or Bohemia Manor. The name was changed in 1839 after the Chesapeake and Delaware (C&D) Canal was built in 1829. Chesapeake City sits on the C&D Canal. This video features several streets including Bohemia Avenue and George Street. Enjoy!
