Living in the field next to me is a whole bunch of horses. I’ve seen a group of them trample a dog before, but they never tried to bite or eat it or anything. The dog for those worried was called a miracle dog by the vets. It got trampled on by 4 horses and is a very tiny dog. Came out of the vets without a single scratch. The owner and half of the street were worried for almost nothing.

They are herbivores but no that does not stop them from eating meat. There are countless cases of horses eating birds and baby chickens. They also are caught gnawing on the bones of dead animals. Usually it means they have a lack of minerals they're trying to regain by eating bones
