Wow, such talent, and very difficult to do what he does. He really does it well though. I first saw him on America’s Got Talent, and once he performed, I knew he would win, and I am glad he did too. I would certainly spend money to see his show in Vegas.

After Johnny’s death, Marty Kilgore really was serious about giving his permission for Preparation H, to use that song for a television ad. John Carter Cash (the only son) put a stop to it. Little John stated that even though he could see the humor, of that product, his father left him in charge in keeping the Cash name out of the mud; and Johnny always felt that what Elvis was put through after his death, he left his son in charge of his legacy. Back in the day, that was one of my sisters favorite songs. After Jonny recorded his famous horn arrangement version; he ordered the tape to be locked up in the vault. Johnny knew thatAnita Carter would be recording her version in a studio session in a couple of weeks. The Columbia producers said, Johnny you’ve got an instant hit. Johnny replied: I know I do, but I want Anita to get as many sales as she can from her release. After her version simmers down from sales and request, then release my version. People will by mine because of my name alone. Johnny was absolutely correct and right. It was his dream the night before included the Mexican Trumpets. This was the recording that set his horn arrangement aside and it was a first, for country music. I’ve been an avid fan and supporter since the first time in 1967 hearing a duo with soon to be wife June (Valerie) Carter the song that turned me into a Johnny Cash, for my life was called Jackson.
