Terry Flanagan talks possiblity of Anthony Crolla fight and more

WBO lightweight world champion Terry ‘Turbo’ Flanagan is waiting on confirmation of his next opponent and a potential fight date of either November 5th or 12th, where he will look to make the fourth defence of the belt he claimed in July 2015 against Jose Zepeda.
The Mancunian says he is now just looking to take part in big fights with fellow world champions where possible as he looks to take on the best and prove he is the number one lightweight in the world.
In this exclusive interview with BritishBoxers, Flanagan tells us he is also still keen on proving he is the best lightweight in Manchester too and says he is still open to a fight with fellow Manc, former WBA lightweight champion Anthony Crolla. (31-5-3, 13KOs)
Flanagan, (30-0, 12KOs) admits to liking Crolla and insists it is everyone else who keeps asking him about the Crolla fight and he is happy to oblige the fans and take it, but insists it’s Crolla’s team who don’t fancy it.
Flanagan, 27, says he is also ready and willing to take on the man who dethroned Crolla last week at the Manchester Arena, Jorge Linares (41-3, 27KOs) and feels he would be too strong for the Venezuelan.
In the long in-depth interview with Flanagan outside his gym, he touches on these subjects, his respect and admiration for his longtime coach Stephen Maylett, who has been with him since the amateurs, eventually moving up to super-lightweight and more.
