Complete and unabridged
The story takes place on the Discworld, a planet-sized flat disc carried through space on the backs of four gargantuan elephants - Berilia, Tubul, Great T'Phon and Jerakeen - who themselves stand on the shell of Great A'Tuin, a gigantic star turtle. The surface of the disc contains oceans and continents, and with them, civilisations, cities, forests and mountains.

I know it’s about the copyright and I really get that but the recordings by Nigel Planer are no longer available due to new (boring) versions. I have yet to listen to any narration as funny or characterful as Nigel. I came late to Terry and have many audible books but sadly I never got Small Gods or The Last Continent or, in fact, Mort. So anyone who has these I would be very grateful to listen

F copyright. Outdated laws for a time long since passed. They were stretching legitimacy in the days of television. If it wasn’t on KZbin you’d have to pay 30 pounds for this and you wouldn’t even get physical copies. You’d essentially rent it for as long as that store had open servers, which is all a digital purchase is.

This older reading is so much better than the new recording available in Audible. The new version has voice actors who speak with a screeching squeal of a voice.

I really enjoy Nigel Planer’s choice to make the Arch Astronomer sound like an old bureaucrat. It makes the malevolence seem more everyday and normal in the Krull society, which makes it so much worse than if he was a moustache twirler.

Just for people who may not have read the books the God is called Blind Io...i have no idea why Planer mispronounces it as Eyore or why it wasnt picked up by the audiobook makers editing team but theres no blind donkeys!
