Me and my wife slow danced to this on a bridge in a park while it drizzled ...beautiful moment caught in my memory

Grade "A" song. My little brother brought "Seed of a Memory" home on vinyl in 1976, I eventually "Big-Brothered" it from him in a month or so and it's been a staple ever since.

He is truly unbelievable. I was fortunate enough to be introduced at 18 by a musician. I am now 50.

I never used to appreciate this song as much as I do now. After a few breakups and being able to relate to the acting angry because the situation dictates it, when underneath you have nothing but love and your emotions are a mask just fooling them, so deep man, such an underrated track 😥

Wow. What you said there related so much to what I'm going through right now. I hope that what you said is what is happening on the other end with the one that I love. We aren't together anymore. No matter how much time passes I will always love her. Thank you so much for the comment

When I get mad Thinking it out Only be glad That I’m fooling you Ain’t got no doubt In working it out Though I am frowning I am fooling you Can think of no better way of giving Get what it is I got to say said Except for living between the times That I’m bound to go mad Shout and rage the tears in my eyes Only then you’ll see why my all alone becomes Now what we’re giving Of any part that we’re giving Like the star we live under Reigns down on the thunder When I get mad Thinking it out Don’t be so sad I’m just fooling you Ain’t got no doubt About sorting it out I’m just worried That I’m fool to you Arrive on this day that’s given you Any hours of life’s path we live in Though I ain’t ashamed that if at times I’m bound to go wild Shout and raise the tears to my eyes Cos only then you’ll see why my all alone becomes Now what we’re given Of any part that we’re giving Like the star we live under That reigns down on the thunder

I remember doing an acid/x trip with my dad listening to his old Terry Reid albums after we watched the Devil's Reject's movie. I'm not a huge fan of lsd but lemme tell you between the beer,the weed,the acid & the x i was having a good night shootin' the shit with my dad listening to these albums. Definitely one of those nights ill never forget. Not a fan of acid but that night i was feeling damn good. Terry Reid is a legend to me !

What a song from a great album. Me and my best mate saw Terry @ Ronnie Scotts in Soho 2 years back and he was unbelievable. Came out to 'The Frame' and it was one of those moments in life that stays with you forever. Get shivers just thinking about it. Also listened to 'Seed of Memory' album on repeat while on Mushrooms one night, one of the best nights of my life. It was like Terry was playing in the room. Legend. Thanks for posting

arigatou gozaimasu Jan-san. Thank you so much for uploading in HQ the best album released in 1976. Mr. Reid creates some of the best music one can hear and is always excellent. He's the greatest artist performing today, I think. My girlfriend just got me River album because I listen to Terry Reid playlists non-stop. Hearing Seed of Memory album in HQ allows all the fine detail of the original recording to come through brilliantly over the Internet. Thank you so much for uploading this classic.

Hey Lanaya, I got your request (Dreams) via email, but can't reply - (you have contact blocking on). If you add me to your contacts I can send 'em to you. Glad you're digging TR; he's incredible. Any time someone raves about Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, I tell them that his primary influences were Terry and Small Faces-era Rod Stewart, (and that Terry's better than Chris OR Rod).

Thanks ever, Andrew! I did add you. I really appreciate your point of view and assistance! And TR is simply fantastic. I am developing a simple bass riff to DEAN and really just love it and so much of his stuff! And, yes, I agree that Terry is better. I have listened to his DEAN at Glastonbury countless times and Dream over and over etc. Anyway, thanks again!

Lanaya Baker Have you ever listened to his first album with "Silver White Light" and " Speak Now Or Forever Hold Your Peace"...I think it was his best work. If you can figure out the chords please let me know. He plays in open tuning most of the time.
@andrewryder3075
@andrewryder3075 10 жыл бұрын
Andre Janssens Both great albums, but I still think "River" holds together (as a complete work) best. Actually, he uses standard tuning more often than not - (makes liberal use of Drop-D, but I wouldn't qualify that as an "open tuning").
