That’s nuts. He rode 260 miles on a fixie?! I made it about a block and a half riding fixed before I came to my senses and realized that brakeless bikes aren’t for me. Props for attempting even half of that ride. Everyone swears by those Asos bibs but damn they cost a lot of loot. Keeping your ass comfortable is expensive but worth every penny to get that magical saddle/bib combo. “I never really get flats” is a sentence I would never utter right before a ride like this🍀🤞🏻. “Original Udder Balm” makes for an excellent chamois cream. Crossing into Shizuoka to Nagoya from Tokyo you're going to have huge climbs and descents, and going brakeless the descents will be your focal point. Not sure how familiar you are with riding JP mountains but the roads are narrow, steep, and going wide on corners could put you directly into the path of a car. From Nagoya to Osaka again you'll be in the mountains though you have a choice of routes. Respect for what you're doing, please prioritize your safety and ride carefully. Godspeed boys
