I am in full agreement, that Marcion was the real Christian Orthodoxy. The rest were heretics as far as Jesus teaching and message were concerned. God is waiting for more than Martin Luther, or the dangerous JN Darby, to bring Christianity to Christ, or rather to free Christ from the false Christianity of all denominations. ( Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants, particularly the teaching of dispensation that became pervasive in the Dallas seminary and alike). I wish we publish a Bible with the choice of psalms, Ruth, job without the introduction and the prophets, together, yet we publish the Torah separately as a mythology and of no relevance Jewish genealogy.

I have always have had trouble reconciling how old testinate god is angry, warlike, and scary . To me it makes more sense that if God is the essence of love, patience, and kindness and mercy he would not have slaughtered people's on the earth he would have been the essence of love. So it actually spoke to me to see how perhaps it was actually two different beings and Jesus was giving us a way to avoid the evil one.

But at least the OT God doesn't have a burning inferno of an afterlife for those who don't believe.. How does the good God of love have a Hell when there's an eternal conscious torment for non believers? Sure, the old testament God destroyed Villages, and cities, but at least that's finite(ish) punishment for finite sins

Sure, love and justice are compatible. But what about being childish, whimsical, unjust and incredibly cruel ? The conquest of Jericho never happened of course, but the story paints a picture of a god that has absolutely zero concern for people. While Indian scripture of that period deals with the nature of the self and the illusion of matter, the OT talks about having a lavish dinner in front of your enemy. There is no comparison.

The apologist skillfully papers over apparent contradictions with faith. Hence we get dispensationalism to protect the inerrancy of the Christian Bible. In practice, the old ideals are the worst enemies of the new. We have what Nietzsche called the transvaluation of values from one epoch to another, the contemplation of which drove him mad. Marcion was not right and obviously you never actually read "Against Marcion." He argues against Marcion's teaching first by logic alone ... and then with scripture. He made an embarrassment of Marcion.

@@st.christopher4854 When Tertullian wasn’t being libelous he was busy writing about women’s fashion. Marcion on the other hand was responsible for a large portion of the New Testament. Marcion was right - Yahweh is not the same God described by Jesus Christ.

@@CoppersmithOD Both Tertullian and St. Irenaeus logically proved that it is not a different God. Now I know for sure you are not well read in Tertullian's work. Stop reading wikipedia or watching some chump on youtube. If your God was truly good, then he would also be just. For an unjust god is not a good god. St. Paul said, "behold the goodness and SEVERITY of God." He preserves both the goodness and severity in one God ... not one good god and another just god.

Christ (whose father Hebrews didn't know) was kind, gentle and wise. How can Yahweh be Jesus' father? Marcion was very astute and was right. Yahweh wasn't any different from the Moabite Chemosh and Ammonite Molech, all were angry storm gods who were very warlike

Во-первых, Яхве это преступник по любым человеческим и религиозным законам. Невозможно поклоняться "богу-преступнику", это не бог тогда, а дьявол. Если евреи считают Яхве своим богом, у меня лично никаких претензий к ним нет, это их дело в конце концов - стремиться в ад, но при чем тут неевреи? Во-вторых, и это более важно, если Яхве отец Иисуса, тогда получается, что Иисус - убийца по Отцу. "Я и Отец - одно", не Иисусом ли сказано? Так и если Он также Бог, единосущный с Отцом, то он также ответственен за все преступления Отца, и поэтому, также не может быть настоящим Богом. А это - шах и мат христианству. Так что, Маркион был в этом абсолютно прав, он был провидец, он понимал к чему приведет эта подмена Истинного Бога на истукана Яхве.

🏛️ Oh, dear. Only the evil and psychopathic parents discriminate, oppress, harass, abuse and harm their children. The good and sane parents may discipline their children instead. If the same parents were continuously evil for the first half of their lives, then are continuously loving for the second half, instead of interweaving both disciplinary and loving properly throughout their entire lives, it's obvious the parents are abnormal and mad. Most importantly you degrade what Jesus emphasized over and over again and again, the unconditional and perpetual love. Be conscious please.
