I don't wanna make anyone mad, but the hosts made it seems like, it is such a big moment for Tesher that Jason Derulo lend hi voice and that is what made the whole song hit. For Everybody's information Tesher's song was already a hit even before this collaboration happen. This song has 97 millions views on his official channel. I Know Jason his a huge star and he has millions of followers and by collaborating with him, his songs will get even more recognition. But it would have been nice if the hosts would've not made this whole thing about , how life changing thing has happen to Tesher that Jason collaborated with him.

For those who are new to this song, the original was a bollywood song first (Jalebi Bai) that Tesher remixed with a Bieber song. This Jason Derulo version is technically the third version. Tesher did a great job with the remix, but I also recommend listening to the original since that history tends to get lost when songs go through multiple remixes

Jason did not 'discover' this song for the world. This type of reporting happened as Spanish language songs started becoming popular in the US. I wish reporters understood that the POC artists a force and have HUGE followings (sometimes they're a lot bigger than the US artists they collab with). The issue is that the industry is so closed off to foreign languages and artists that it takes so much for talented innovative artists to breakthrough. The US is missing out on so many mind-blowing songs... I'm so thankful I know of Tesher now and will be exploring more of his music.

Firstly, the "song" was originally "Jalebi Bhai" in 2010 in the ethnic dialect (was it Punjabi? or Hindi?). Tesher sampled the song, gave it Punjabi and English lyrics and remixed it last year with other Justin Bieber samples. Jason remixed it again and supported it getting more English. At least, could the original samples be credited?

Drake Nice for what ) it might pass to call it your own song (even Drake still credits the Lauren Hill sample). But to call it your own song when the musical composition of the song in entirety was built on another song and not crediting the original composition is stealing. Literally did not even change the name and intent of the song and still called the new song his own. Why because his dad is from the motherland and therefore it's ok to steal from your own people? Like its disrespectful.
