It is June and I just watched this and am crying. Last christmas was the first I didn't celebrate. I am 57 years old and have deeply rooted my family in all the christmas traditions. My 5 grown children and husband could not understand why I wouldn't participate. I celebrated Hannukah alone----but not alone because Yah was with me and we had some precious moments together I wouldn't trade for anything. I would have loved to see this video when you posted last year, but it still ministered to me anyways. Bless you!

Diane! I'm so glad you are turning to YHVH! :-) That is such great news! Yes, not many will understand -- and the least to understand is our families. Be encouraged! It's about you and the family of Papa Yah. And he loves you! Here is a link to the group if you aren't a member join up! Lots of great ladies there! facebook.com/

I'm not a lady, but this was my first Christmas not celebrating Christmas. It was tough, mainly because my family doesn't understand and were very disappointed I couldn't join them. I tried to explain a couple months ago that I wouldn't be involved, and that was really difficult. I didn't want any big arguments, so I just told them I couldn't come back, even though my boss inexplicably gave me extra days off that I didn't ask for. I think I need to find myself a Torah-observant wife so I can start my own family traditions. When it's just me, I feel like I'm rebelling against my parents, especially when I hear the pain in their voices because I can't be there. I think with a family, it would be easier to fill that guilty void from rejection my parents' religion.

I feel ya man!! It’s Isaac at Teshuvah Ministries-Rebekah invited me to reply to your comment. We know it’s hard but you are doing the right thing. You have the truth on your side. Being faithful to the Creator is our first calling. I think you may be right about the benefit of having a good wife. I’m not sure how well I would have handled this without Rebekah. My hat is off to you. On the other hand, when there are children involved, it brings its own challenges. By doing some of the “hard” now, you may be doing your future wife and children a huge favor. Stay faithful.

When should we celebrate His birth ? Can we not take something that was once pagan in the past and make it holy in the present ?
@TeshuvahMinistries6 жыл бұрын
We celebrate his birth according to when he was born. He was born during the Feast of Sukkot in the Fall. And NO! You can not take something that was pagan and make it righteous or holy in the present. You can only destroy it. It is a lie that we can make a pagan holiday -- holy. The Scriptures is VERY clear about this!

I think you're so genuine and I love all the videos I've watched from your channel. But, I can't figure out...are you a Messianic Jew or just a Jew? I'm not criticizing your decision not to celebrate Christmas. I'm just curious.
@TeshuvahMinistries7 жыл бұрын
Oh, thanks! :-) No we are not Jews. We believe in the Messiah, but are not Messianic or Hebrew Roots. Instead, we call ourselves Melchizedek Ephraimites. If you are interested, here is a video explaining Ephraim called Identity Crisis by Jim Staley (it will change your life) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZO6noaaZZ6dkNU and here's another about the Melchizedek priesthood that I did explaining what Yahshua, the Messiah accomplished and what was "nailed to the cross." kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqTViHSjmc-Fhbs. Also, if you are interested I have a weekly Shabbat Show located in the Ladies of Teshuvah Facebook Group. You have to be a member to watch every Shabbat, but you might like it. I'll approve you if you ask to join :-) facebook.com/groups/LadiesofTeshuvah/?ref=bookmarks
