I did not notice right spule felt which suppose to be the same as on left side controling matal belt. Tesla made undervalued tape recorders. In listening may compete with much more prized tape recorders - only they have worse limit tech data (but it is fair enough even for very requiring listener) and their factory alignment need not to be trusted. I have fully operable Uher Royal de Luxe and Tesla B115 and also B3 and even Uher is more sophistiicated finally I switched to Tesla mainly for it's auto tape stop which is more reliable than in Uher Both are comfortably easy to open and service but Tesla 115 has module build somehow reminding idea of Bang Olufsen which I also brought to life for me.

Perhaps different design of left and right brake is some innovation during production. The green color on the ends of the brakes is not damaged. Yes, on my B93 the Autostop works very reliably in conjunction with the brakes.

@@karelkarel6721Right spule brake is for control of tape streaching in case of rewinding tape back in such way that it is independent from diameter of tape on reel. For sure it should not be naked metal because metal tape would grind bakelit spule and make noise My B115 (also have restored B116) all had soft felt there. Instead of felt in I used in my B115 thin plastic with thin soft like mesh so that it is more precise than thick felt. It is crucial specialy on left spule because it decides the streaching of tape on head in play mode and both cerate streach in winding in both sides. That in turn serves to prevent mechanical overloading of rewinded to reel tape. My suggestionis that those recorders are better working in horizontal position. Because they do not use precise ball bearings for spules in vertical position precise control is affected by bronze bearings
