Some reasons for FSD challenges with the CyberTruck: 1) variable ride heights affects camera angles and perception of depth of field, 2) 4-wheel steer affects behavior of the tale end of the vehicle (the way it swings out), 3) steer-by-wire steering ratio behaves differently than the rest of the lineup.

22:15 I hate Hybrids. I had to drive one in June when I was in Los Angeles because the rental company had no electric vehicles available. And oh it’s so depressing. Every single red light you stop at, the engine shuts off. And then when you press accelerator, it starts back up again. The Tesla that was on my left is already a block away. It’s just so depressing. I’ve never owned a hybrid and I never will. KBB states that they ignite more than 100% combustion vehicles. That’s because they have more components under the hood. The more components you have under the hood the more maintenance you need. That’s why the dealerships love them.

Regarding Lucid, I was able to compare it to our model S about 20 months ago. After spending $155K plus awful tax, I was disappointed with bugs for the price. Every time I exited the vehicle, my head bumped the roof because they didn’t provide easy exit like Tesla. We never heard the GPS provide directions because it was locked to same volume as entertainment. Most EVs allow you to push its charging door to open it, but Lucid’s door rarely responds. I don’t like big brother and Alexa listening to my conversation. But, Lucid requires an Alexa account for voice commands, sorry no. Forget about wireless charging your cell phone in its unreliable clam shell holder. Hopefully, all these and other problems are now fixed. On the positive side, Lucid Air GT has a fabulous ride, great efficiency, and ultra long range.

Kim and PJ, there is a big difference between Lucid and TSLA regarding profit/loss per vehicle as you did reference. I like the Lucid in both appearance and performance but with a loss of a reported $400,000 per vehicle, they are not in the same universe as Rawlinson's former employer. Endless supply of foreign money will not make people buy a Lucid. It must be the product itself. As Elon always says, scaling is the hardest thing.

If everyone pluged in their plug-in hybrid, that would save some air pollution and some green house gases (here in California), but apparently I was one of the few to plug in my Chevy Volt when I had it. If you don't plug in your plug-in hybrid, you will cause more air pollution and spew more green house gases than if you'd bought a hybrid. Right now, California generates more solar electricity during the day that can be used, so we should all be charging our cars during the day.

It was used at a residence and made a tremendous difference. I am retired from the airlines. My last comment is Tesla’s lack of response or information regarding the Fatal accident and fire in Santa Clara, Ca. Nov. 2023. I own a Y. Tragically this mother and daughter took their Y to a doctor’s appt.. They hit a tree and were consumed in the fire. The lack of information to me is deafening.

Apparently, the usual plan is to let the fire burn itself out and water is generally not used on lithium battery fires. I read Tesla semitruck batteries could be 10x the size of an EV car battery. Perhaps any government needs to consider fire-fighting tech and toxic fumes mitigation; or even reconsider the use of EV-semitruck usage. I cannot see risking 13+ hour main freeway shutdowns in this section of I80 which already has full closures for weather/snow-season along with occasional forest fire closures at other times.

*Tesla was simply trying to prevent people from buying a large number of vehicles to flip, which would have cut out those who genuinely wanted to purchase one at a normal price for themselves. Without this intervention, buyers might have struggled to find one because dealers and flippers would have bought them all up early on, much like ticket scalpers do. Scalpers buy out all the tickets and then resell them at inflated prices, meaning that if you want to see your favorite performer, you now have to pay ten times the original price.
