Tesla Coil music - Mario, Zelda, Dr Who, Ghostbusters (turn down volume) - Lubbock Mini Maker Faire

Sorry for the bad audio. If anyone knows how to fix the pops then plz tell me. You can hear the audio fairly clearly if you turn the volume down.
It is owned my the Electrical Engineering Pulse Power Lab at Texas Tech University. I would like to buy one, but no idea where I could get one or how to make it.

That is the BEST way to play the Doctor Who theme ever! The Doctor would highly approve...although I think he'd try to convince Tesla to do it stating, "But people in the future will be doing it!" and Tesla would frown and brood about how Edison's inventions were going to be used for *useful* things and cost thousands of dollars to each person a year...but his invention? MUSIC DIDDIES!! HA! And he would walk away and the Doctor would just "But...can I just...oh please...it will be brilliant, I promise!" lol

i think the camera gets the popping because of the massive amount of RF interference and electricity in the air. just find the cameras common ground,then ground it(it might not help.)

I think ist because the high voltage you can hold an old lamp nerby an tesla coil and IT goes and your mic is an Magnet Who vibrates and fies an Electric impulse

A cage around the mic wouldn't fix anything; the audio is clipping the mic. The dang thing is practically thunder, so it is extremely loud, even for my good mic.

A wire cage around the microphone should help with the audio. And you didn't list the Doctor Who theme in the title. That costs you some serious nerd points! Also where is that tesla coil placed? And where can I get one? :D

The cause for the pops is the loud noise from the Tesla coil. Your audio is clipping from the loudness. You could buy an expensive mic to solve this issue, but i think that's not worth it.

Nikola... what a disappointment to see that such an astounding invention capable of producing endless amounts of electrical energy is only ever used for entertainment purposes, not only that, is it plugged in? Mr. Tesla would be mortified. nice vid btw

+LLNightrider22 it doesn't get used correctly, probably because the power companies don't want it to... think i read somewhere a power company sued a guy for using one in the intended manor
