High frequency ripple current in this location will not give correct measurements.

It is worth spending the time on it. Do not fear the FiberNet, there is virtually nothing to do with that. TeslaTerm is wonderful and UD3 in itself is easy to get made, especially if you use the UD3.1 PCB layout that Thorben made, to fit with standard components from JLC, so you only have to do the large throughhole components and CPU.

Video felt a bit chaotic but very interesting overall. Can't wait for this to make sparks! Do you plan on trying pulse skip with this coil?

Just as I found it very hard to get started with the UD3, because its spread out over different projects, it is also hard to make a 1:1 how to video. It would be hours and hours long :) I tried to highlight all the less-documented features and show where I had problems. The documentation and wiki on the projects are at this point very good. I helped update the UD3 wiki with some of the findings from making this video. UD3 is a project in current development and its super exciting to follow and take part in. UD3.1 is not far around the corner! I don't think I will pulse-skip this coil, its MMC is kind of not-oversized. I will definitely try it on my large DRSSTC3 :)
