The concept of building a giant pickup truck as an EV kind of goes against the entire principle of sustainability that EVs are being marketed on. Also, its sheer mass and physical size is a hazard to other road users.

You've just stated why trucks are stupid in most cases. The thing is there is a market for them, and the Cybertruck is replacing inefficient diesel and gas trucks. Plus, Teslas have much higher safety standards in terms of software. But still, trucks are still the pinnacle of American "everything big is better". At least its an EV with a unique design.

@@sam.fridayyy Efficient isn't necessarily about range, its about energy consumption. Those who are terrible there are non EVs, i.e. diesel and petrol trucks. Plus, show me a mainstream truck which could beat it in a towing battle. Just to be clear, if you are towing a lot often for great distances, the Cybertruck just isn't there. Or at least you need to be prepared to stop often. Most truck users however don't need that.
