And .45 acp, even fmj, is a round that isn't exactly predisposed towards penetration, whether against barriers or soft tissue. Heavy as it is, it has a relatively low velocity compared to other pistol calibers. Now calibers I'd really like to see tried are as follows: -.357 magnum -7.62x25 Tokarev -FN 5.7x28 -22 magnum -45 Long Colt -H&K 4.6x30 -.44 magnum -10x25mm (ideally the higher pressure version) -.22 Hornet -.17 HMR

Of course it’s not bullet proof… nothing really is. But it is the most bullet resistant affordable civilian vehicle available. A Maybach Guard will offer better protection, but at a cost north of $500,000. Calling things bulletproof is a bit like when they use the expression “silencer” instead of suppressor. Weather if can withstand rounds from a 308 or .556 rifle is largely irrelevant, as there are very few instances of these firearms being used in crimes. Mostly it’s cheap 9mm handguns with cheap ammo. Rifles are used in only 2.6% of gun related crimes.

People are going to get hurt being led to believe these things offer any protection against anything other than those loads, none of which can achieve any serious penetration. Heck, I wouldn't even trust those doors to reliably stop a supersonic 40gr rimfire load. Yes, these are vastly superior to your average car door but any mention of them being "bulletproof" is dangerously misleading IMO.

This is literally the definition of bulletproof, it able to stops certain calibers of bullets. Kevlar vests are called "bulletproof vests". Its a general term thats then broken down into further categories. I dont understand why your taking the words so literally when you yourself acknowledge nothing is bullet proof from anything. You could argue high jumpers dont actually jump very high, football rarely involves the use of feet, illegal aliens arnt actually from space, etc if your neurotic, but society uses the commonly accepted vernacular.
