It's the excitement of getting a new car that prompts one to purchase accessories. In theory, many of them seem great but in actuality they may not be the best investment. Really good video fellas. It certainly helps to hear the perspectives of others. I'll be purchasing a Model S this coming spring and have been on the fence throughout my research on the topic. I'm definitely leaning toward a partial wrap to the areas you mentioned you've done. I'll be tenting the windows, getting puddle lights, screen protector for the monitor and Tux all weather floor mats. To each their own regarding the accessories purchased. I like these videos. Keep up the good work guys.

The rear chrome piece is a very nice touch. Its one of those things you can do that an observer probably wouldn't pick out specifically, but adds to the overall beauty of the car in aggregate. I got one from RPM Tesla that gives a similar look, but it is a flatter, thinner chromed vinyl. Yours is definitely nicer looking, no question, even from a distance. But the price, in my opinion, is crazy. When things calm down some, and the competition and availability increases, I will definitely change mine out for one like that. Nice car. It is absolutely beautiful in the red. I have a silver metallic Performance 3 w/ upgrade package that I took delivery on about 6 weeks ago. Like you I am loving it!!!!!

+1 for the MaxPider floor mats! I went with the Nomad wireless charger vs Jeda...I think they are comparable, not sure if Jeda has it, but the Nomad has indicator lights for charging and fully charged which is a nice touch. Agree with some sort of wrap / cover on the center console.

I bought the tray that fits in the cubby hole by the phone holders. Change holder compartment and some of them has a slot for Level 2 adapter and sunglasses under 15 dollars made with black plastic 3d printed, for more money you can get felt covered ones too

It is simply amazing that if you use WAZE a lot as I do and a lot of people do, you still have to use the screen of your iPhone because there is no way to miracast the iPhone to the 16" monitor. There is a device you can purchase to miracast an android phone to the S/X models, but I have not seen a review of the product anywhere.

Accessories I put on my M3D that I would encourage you to consider: 1) Brighter interior light upgrades, 2) Aluminum pedal covers, 3) Center console wrap, 4) rim protectors, 5) anti-glare screen protector, 6) Metal valve stem caps with Tesla logo are very cheap on Amazon, 7) In California we have to have a license plate on the front, so I went with "The Bandit" as it doesn't block the vents or sensors and doesn't touch the front of the car.

Great, great video! I would recommend upgrading your puddle lights, glove compartment light and your trunk lights, with Abstract Ocean's super bright led replacement lights. Forget about projecting a Tesla logo on the ground, it just robs some of the light.

Tesla seems to have fixed the roof glass wind noise gap, possibly when they changed the rear glass panel. I've got the RPMTESLA reduction kit. Tested the dB level inside the car before and after the kit, at 40, 65, and 80 mph. Absolutely zero change. And the stereo away 50% volume is about 10dB louder than the 80mph wind noise. The Maxpider mats are fantastic. Have you looked at brighter interior LEDs? Make a huge difference in the trunk.

Additional add ons. More powerful struts, and struts and springs for full self opening trunk and frunk, information courtesy of I1Tesla. Upgraded lights for most of lower interior lights and in trunk. Better mats for Trunk and Frunk which we still have to get. Labels for door open buttons. Now locks for rear seats and labels for Sentry mode.

For me: If I can get it made somewhere here in EU -> the protection film over the front and door frames, the floor mats !!! , a Dashboard protection, carbon fiber style wrap for the wood lining on the Dashboard, maybe induction chargers once I get a new phone, and chrome delete on all chrome parts as well as the rims

Or get a glass cleaning kit, like for phones and tablets. They come with a holding bag to store it, and a little spray and microfiber cloth. You can leave it in the glove box or center compartment and clean up the display screen when needed, wherever you might be.

So you didn’t do the center console wrap to reduce any scratches, which is one if the first things I did. Also the screen protector that provides a no finger print finish. Two of the best I’ve added to my Model 3. You got a great deal in the window tint, as here in Scottsdale, AZ it cost $1200 for the best tint job and also did the glass roof all in one piece.

Hello I just came across your video and I think it’s pretty useful but also entertaining. I really liked how Bo was just questioning every single decision that Brian made haha, which led to him explaining their further....except puddle lights, those things are just a rip off haha, some cars have similar lights on the door, but they shine in multiple directions; downward and outward(?), this is helpful to prevent accidents with traffic or pedestrians that might not see your door is opened.

yeah..i agree.. its been nuts that its missing some stuff that its supposed to have because of the price.. like example.. the wheel caps you have to buy separately for 50 each. or customizing the internal console, or adding additional internal cameras, or adding some lighting that you like... thats not even to mention the wrap... plus the tints, plus the tire pressure T logos, plus the vinyl wrap on the logos plus the breaks, plus the hydrolics on the frunk.. i mean, etc etc.. the stuff is endless and moronic.. (i include myself in that because i did some of that stuff on my car wayyyy before i got the M3).. i paid 80 for my tint on all windows.. 100% on the back windows and 35% (legal) on front windows. And the Satin wrap (Suntek) 3500... its 7mm thick and self healing.

I also wrapped center counsel in matte black. Nomad wireless charger came this week. Seems like it is high quality. Also ordered trunk handle that attaches to license plate bracket. Hasn’t arrived but looked helpful. I think I am banned from buying more accessories by my wife for a while after getting wrapped and ceramic.

Aye.. those puddle lights. I got the puddle lights from Abstract Ocean and I think they shine quite brightly. RPM is known to sometimes sell sub-par products. Also, if you want mats that cover more area than the 3D MAXpiders, then look into TuxMats! They are more expensive but are worth it if you want to take care of your Tesla.

Those floormats look slick. To be honest though, I think you should get rid of the chrome trims, and black them out. Also, you should wrap the center console's piano shiny black parts.

In NC state inspection window tint will fail. Check the level of tint allowed it u r in N.C. before you tint it.

My tint was 1200 suntek cir 50 front and top 30 front sides 20 back doors and rear 4000 full body bra and 800 ceramic paint protection I did a 800 chrome delete with 18 inch rim color tinted head and rear lights a custom wrapped spoiler even blacked out my duel motor and other badges free As for interior I have a glass screen saver and a white carbon fiber wrap for center console steering wheel and center console and rubber trunk mat

3D mats don't have treads on the floor that resemble a hiking boot. In a sandy area, that's a plus. The semi smooth surface is much easier to sweep clean.

I purchased a clear “matte” console wrap from RPM Tesla. I received the 3 pieces and went to install the middle one first because it seemed the easiest. Oh boy. Messed it up! So I emailed them and they graciously sent me out a new middle piece so I could do over. I still have all 3 pieces sitting in my garage. This time I’ll take my time, watch the video and follow their instructions. In that same shipment I received a “chrome” trunk lid piece, similar in appearance to the one highlighted here, a chrome dead pedal to match my Performance accelerator and brake pedals, and the Xpel door edge guards. They were not what I expected. On me. I must have not read the listing carefully. I haven’t installed. But on balance I’m happy with the RPM Tesla items.

Brian, have you looked into the performance pedals? When I drove up to Brentwood to pick up my Model 3 in October there was an issue with the rear view camera so they gave me a Model S P100D as a loaner to drive back to Chattanooga while they fixed it. Anyway, it had the performance pedals. While purely aesthetic I couldn’t go back to the black rubber pedals. I picked mine up on Amazon from topfit. I will be honest the accelerator pedal was a pain to get on but worth it. Thanks for sharing the accessories you’ve bought. Did you say the bag in the center console was for the homeless? If so that’s brilliant. I’d be interested of what you keep in there to give out to others. That might be my favorite accessory.

I tried both the Jeda and Nomad wireless charging phone pads and the Nomad was much much better. My phone slipped off the Jeda but the Nomad holds it nicely. The Nomad is worth the extra $.

All good advice except Jeda, I purchased the box for the front that give you charging and dash cam so you have extra ports, didn't work for more than a week and slow charge, dash cam gives off warnings with their box while everything works fine plugged in direct but you loose the slow charging ports. Their customer service takes forever, not responsive, takes more than a week or 2 and you basically have to threaten to get any attention, they have an F at the BBB and they blame things on the memory. I'm still waiting for a refund I'll probably never get. Which BTW, use a flash drive and USB converter since it has much longer lifer for video type of operation. The real solution is to install a 12V in the front box, it's touchy to do and not much space but can be done and that way you get 18W charging time two phones and still have the two data ports. I'd also say get the two qtr panels wrapped too because the paint is thin and soft. Also consider charging pads are slow in general and much energy is wasted in heat and the phone can get hot. Get a sun shade too since the interior gets hots and cabin overheat protection costs miles

You missed several: extra door seals P & Z around all 4 doors and Z seal around the complete trunk lid. The puddle lights come in different logo styles - we love our "Tesla 3" ones. I like chrome and bought 2 chrome side mirror covers for 25 bucks online. They look original. I didn't know the trunk chrome strip was available. Considering the 2 chrome mirror covers were only $25, I'll wait until the price comes down on the trunk chrome finish but I will buy it. ps: there are sunglass holder clips that go inside the center console - looks much better than the visor clip.

You absolutely should use exterior lights in daylight, especially when e.g. the sun is low in the sky, so other road users can see you, I wish car makers would make the rear lights come on for DRL instead of just the front (on most new cars) so you can see them better when they are driving into low sun.
