Sorry for the quality of this video, in order to do this rather difficult task and document the whole process at the same time, best way for me to do this is to mount my GoPro on my head. Some framing was bad as i didn't know what the camera was aiming at.
Hopefully this video answer some questions you guys have, i did not do commentary as it is pretty self explanatory since i basically showed the entire process. Keep in mind, I literally ripped my wrap just to do this again to show you guys.

How best to remove the mirror fairing? Presumably just pry it loose with a squeege or something, but is there a particular edge that one should start from in order to avoid breaking anything?

Hello Eric, i pry from the outter edge, i think the first time i pry it off i broke a tap but since then i've pry it off more than 4 other times already and everytime it still require some force to pry it loose and it clips back in very firmly

I did this just to show those who had questions on how exactly the mirror handle was done, i have another product i plan to test soon, so i will be ripping the wrap once again, so stay tune for up coming video, it maybe the cheaper and easier chrome delete solution for DIYers. And i just realized that toward the end, i messed up on the video, ignore the "click analyze to begin", thats for my software stabilizing effect =D

Any update on the *other product* that may be easier for the chrome delete?

Unfortunately, it failed miserably. The product i attempted using was Superwrap (formerly AutoDip), its a spray on, peelable vinyl based paint, unlike plastidip which is rubbery finish and not much of gloss option, Superwrap has smooth finish like normal paint or vinyl, also peelable and have gloss or matt (frozen) finish. All went well until i peel the masking, it took the paint Superwrap with it, and i was left with a big mess to clean, took me the whole day to prep, paint, then failed and clean up. and another day to rewrap my car with vinyl. i would give it a second try and it may work, but i am very tired and i really don't want to deal with it again.

I'm very familiar with Plastidip. Did it not break away cleanly like plastidip?

Tesla DIY looks masterful. I notice you have several places where you cut the vinyl with the knife less tape. Were the seams noticeable? I can’t see any in the video. Curious why you went to try the plasti dip. Were you not happy with the result of the vinyl wrap?

Stephen Whitfield he showed how he did the door handles in his first video. Didn’t look hard at all but I’m guessing he makes things look easy.

How much wrap did you end up using for the mirror? I'm planning to do this but not sure how much warp I should order. I got a 5ft x 1ft just to wrap the handles and see how I like the look, also wasn't sure how hard it would be to wrap the mirrors. After watching your video I've decided to go for it! Love your video! Keep it up!

Is the side view mirrors pretty easy to move around? Seems like it might break the way you are maneuvering it around. Also, can you do the side mirrors without taking out the white painted cap piece? What's the reasoning for the removal?

Hello, it does take a bit of effort and it does feel like u are breaking something, i've seen people done it before with a lot less gentle, i apply as much force as needed and as careful as i can, i am pretty sure its ok to move it around the way i did, otherwise it shouldn't have designed to be folded outward. but try at your own risk =] i would suggest taking off the mirror cap to get as much of the underneath as possible, u can wrap it around and make sure the vinyl is tucked as far in as possible when the cap is removed.

rekone808 it’s actually didn’t take too long, it’s tedious as you gotta align, trim, heat, stretch, tuck and repeat. But as long as you follow the technique and learn how the vinyl react. It took me about 2 hours to complete the whole thing, maybe less if all goes smooth

@@TeslaDIY Thanks! One more question, the back corner chrome, the one piece sideways A shape window trim, did you use 2 pieces of the roll or 1 whole piece to cover that section?

rekone808 no problem rekone, this is a common question. I use 2 piece, with top over lapping bottom to minimize the seam, you can do it in one piece but it would waste a lot of material, for a shop to do this it may make sense as they can use the cut out area for the windows (wasted area) for other project, but for us DIYers, it’s harder and more costly to order a roll that width and long, it’s just better to split it in two piece right at the tip of the “>” turn

Nah, taking the mirror off itself is a lot of extra work, plus there will be nothing holding onto the mirror, possibly need 2 people to do it, and even with the mirror off, you'll basically have to do the same thing i did here. You maybe able to push it and go with less sections and go 1 piece on some of the area where i did it in 2 pieces, thats about it

Taking the door panel off and removing the mirror is a lot more work, plus, there will be nothing holding onto the mirror and then you will probably end up doing the same thing as far as dividing it in 2-3 pieces. Also doing it in less pieces is possible, i just prefer having more pieces as they are pretty seamless and doesn't bother me, yet i can worry less about pull back weeks and months later
