Why don't you get as close on your install as you did with the pre cut ? It's seems like you are exaggerating to me, the seam on the pre cut is well done. Sure, there is some dirt accumulation under the fog light but that can be trimmed.
@PremierProtectiveFilms6 жыл бұрын
precuts shouldn't need trimming if you are good at what you do. As for getting close, why don't we see your precut installs and make a side by side comparison.

Sure, how do I post pics of the model 3 bumper I just did using a pret cut ?

Dope, now let's see the paint underneath after removing your custom cut install. Yes pre cuts have seems, but bashing pre cuts to make yourself look better is just poor business strategy. A ton of customers prefer plotted panels, they don't want blades on the car. All that trimming, you're almost guaranteed to cut through the film and into the paint SOMEWHERE. Yes custom cut installs always will look cleaner, but at the same time. Ppf is a sacrificial layer of protection designed to take the abuse and be replaced. I've never seen the purpose of dismantling the car to do a custom kit on a daily driver. An exotic that is aimed for perfection, sure.

Perhaps you should do a bit of research before commenting. We have been doing this since 1997, which is much longer than most companies in this industry. We have seen way more razor cuts from precut installers than any other, and this is probably because they undergo a 1 or 2 day training course and off they go working on customers' cars. Do some research and you will not find any consumer talking about razor cuts with our work. Why? That's because we know what we are doing. On the other hand, if you search 6speedonline.com, rennlist.com, ferrarichat.com, mclarenlife.com, teamspeed.com, and a host of other sites, you WILL find us posting photos of other installers' work (precut and custom) coming in with heavy razor marks.

Old pre cut is dirty, fresh install not precut is clean, wow, amazing, you also left off the difference in price.

If the goal of the video was to convince a person to go with a body wrap at your shop vs. installing a precut kit, for you failed. I don't see $2k worth of difference. I get it, you need to justify what you do, but most people just want a protective layer to prevent rock chips.

What an unpredictable response. Either A) You are an installer who cannot produce the same results and are stuck with doing precuts. In protecting your own image, would try to troll a company that does not hesitate to post as who we are. B) You are a consumer who does not see the difference. Regardless of which, it is an unfortunate view that your customer's $70k car is not worth the additional care and value to have quality work. What does matter is that we produce results that cannot be replicated and are booked out 3-4 months in advance year round. This says that there are plenty of auto enthusiasts who can see the difference. **Note: For consumers looking into ppf installations, please do not push an installer that has no experience in doing custom work to do custom app. The results can be catastrophic. (here's another Model 3 custom front bumper vid where we get just 2 inches away to show the results) kzbin.info/www/bejne/np7HaYian5anpac

Premier Protective Films I just think it’s funny that every shop who posts videos wants to turn it into a dick measuring contest instead of just showing their work. This isn’t an apples vs apples comparison. Let’s be honest, you’re all just a bunch of scrubs who took a two day course and want to represent this as something that is way more difficult than it actually is.

Don't know what you're talking about. I would rather pay extra to get quality work done than precut kits to save a few bucks. Ofcourse if you do care about craftsmanship you can go for the lowest price kits. Some people care and won't accept crappy installs

Intersting comment on a three year old post. BTW, the precut kit looked fine on my Model 3 and when it came time to sell the car, the front end was flawless.

I took my Model 3 to a shop for a full custom wrap and was told with a 1-piece bumper wrap, it has to be stretched pretty thin, so the front bumper wrap would be mm's thinner then the rest of the car. They suggested I go with a 2-piece instead for maximum protection. Is this true or do you think they were BSing because it was more difficult to do a 1-piece install? Thanks!
@PremierProtectiveFilms5 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately that is an excuse many Companies are using nowadays. The truth is that Custom Installation techniques take a lot longer to master, and most installers have not been properly trained for this type of application. With the Model 3, 99% of companies in this industry can not do the bumper in 1 piece. Keep in mind that "All" installations require stretch to conform the film to the bumper. If the installer is really stretching the film to the point where it becomes that much thinner, then that installer doesn't quite know what he is doing. With that said, some protection is always better than none. So if you can't find anyone that can do a 1 piece front bumper, I'd still suggest going with the 2 piece. What we also suggest is to go take a look at the installer's work in person. That is the best way of confirming whether the installer's capabilities are up to your standards.

PremierProtectOne were not talking about my installs cause I don’t focus on what my competitions work looks like. It’s just weird how you wanna get up close on theirs but not yours. That’s what I’m saying. This has nothing to do w comparing me to you.

There is a drastic difference in the front bumper and we get up close on both. Those who talk cant do. We talk and do.

Cocky installers. Everyone’s a critic. If you have 2k to blow on a full wrap go for it. I have my M3 fully wrapped and it does like nice. I’ve installed precut partial kits and they look 90% as good IMO. It just depends if your super anal. Most peeps don’t like like to see the seams on a partial kit vs a full. Either way, the work does look good. Cheers!

Hey nice work. Did you start with pre cut or bulk? Seems pre cut is easier or is it? How much extra do you charge for bulk then pre cut?

We started in 1997 with custom app - Xpel was not even around at the time.
@GoldenSte6 жыл бұрын
You didn’t show a close up on the sensors on your install, unless it’s pointed out and a big deal is made the corners on the hood being exposed is in my opinion greatly exaggerated. The only big difference here is the job on the bumper, yes the custom installation is cleaner, but when a pre-cut kit slightly modified and properly installed it will still do the job. Please show a costume install on a porsche Macan, Cayenne, or a 2018 Gt3 with no seams. Look forward to it
@PremierProtectiveFilms6 жыл бұрын
We can do work that no installer can challenge. Macan full hood done in 1 piece...one installer..Ferrari LaFerrai full doors in one singular sheet no problem. Do some research about Premier Protective Films before talking. Better yet, show your work up close the way we post and then let's talk.

This video shows that you have great capacity to exaggerate as well as intentionally contradict what you are saying. On the first car, you demonstrated your ability to perceive the details about which you were speaking. For example, when you were describing the cut mark on the first hood you made sure to get so close that the minute details were rendered in the video. Same with the next point, the censor circle. You made sure that the details you were speaking on were able to be properly rendered in focus and your words clearly reflected in the video. This confluence of your rhetoric with proof abruptly ended when you began speaking on your very own work. Had you quietly given yourself a lobotomy behind the camera that caused such a gross divergence in form and function of your mental facilities? When you spoke about doing "this whole bumper in on piece... see, the edges are as close as possible to the panel edge". We know you know how to use the video camera at this point. How cowardly to not prove what your saying! Show us how close the fucking edge is then! Same thing for each and every point made on that second vehicle. Let me take a moment to point out that 25 of the 27 (93%) of people who decided to comment on your work found you to be misrepresenting your work, making exaggerated claims, and just generally engaging in very despicable business practice. I'd go so far as to say that this video has shown me that even though the pre cut job was probably about 2 or more years old (poorly done in your opinion) it still was functioning 100% as intended. This leads me to believe that if I were to need PPF installed, I'd get someone to do it for cheap. I wouldn't take it to a shop, and I would advise nobody to take it to your shop. This video is pathetic and shows some cowardly fucking principles. My impression is if I got you to install PPF, your bitchass would sensationalize the edges and corners while making me stay back a good 2 feet. You probably the type of pussy bitch to not even put PPF and convince the customer that you're just that good, you can't even tell. This video was embarrassing to watch, especially the desperate way you felt you needed to defend yourself to every negative critic that commented, which to remind you, is 93% of them. All but 2. You're the definition of a fake ass ho. I need you too look up the definition of integrity and copy it word for word on loose leaf 100 times young lady. Fuckin PATHETIC!
