Huge black out in NYC right now. What the hell are we going to do if all transportation is on our electrical infrastructure? To predict ICE vehicles extinction in 5-10-20 years is not very foresighted. At least ICE drivers can still go to a gas station running on generator power and fill up with liquid fuel in minutes. EV's, not so much. Ya'll haven't really thought this out.

I wonder if in that time period roof solar panels would be more common. You are right to point out a single point of failure is a huge risk

for regular consumer electric car will be a killer as soon as batteries will drop like 25% more. before tesla gigafactory it was more! then its a question of just cycling out crazy deals of manufacturers when they will try to get rid of gasoline cars. for perfoormance w8 will still be an issue for a long time. unless there is a breakthrough like carbon nanotube batteries or something
@westonbadke54345 жыл бұрын
Transmissions and Cooling system fails before the engine will in a traditional combustion motor. Honda engines can go 25+ years as long as you do the basics of filters, and oil changes. Swapping out gaskets. 400,000 miles is not a problem for well built engines.

I write this with the greatest respect for you Farghini and love your channel's development. My hatred for Tesla and EV's is barely controllable. There will be no ICE extinction I pray with all my heart and soul. So we disagree on this one buddy. Tesla is the anti SL65, the anti Viper ACR, the anti 911GT2, etc.... Those cars have unmatched driving experiences at speed, regardless of their manufactures battery powered products. Furthermore, EV's suffer from subfreezing range capitulation and unpredictable range variance that renders them useless for high speed cold weather interstate driving. Because I don't always have an hour to wait for a charge up crossing continents at 80mph in December. Cold weather range report: "The Tesla Model 3 has an EPA-estimated 310-mile range. At the end of that same 64 mile drive, it indicated there were 189 miles of predicted range. Put another way, the Model 3 used 121 miles worth of range in only 64 miles. That’s almost double the anticipated loss." They found similar range reduction published in Model S testing. EV's will never kill ICE cars, for my emotional attachment to ICE cars cannot be broken nor will EV's overcome their real world limitations. We just disagree my friend. www.consumerreports.org/hybrids-evs/buying-an-electric-car-for-a-cold-climate-double-down-on-range/

We all love cars, that's why we're watching car content. The emotional connection we all share for combustion engines is ingrained into our souls; it's a car guy (or girl) thing. The biggest importance much grater than that connection is the planet. No car will matter ICE or EV without a healthy place to exist. I have a V8 S4, a Ducati and a custom built chopper. My point is, I know I will soon get an EV because it's the smart choice when thinking what iv'e done during my time here and what traces I've left or didn't when I'm gone. We're lucky to a have Tesla, they've pushed other car companies into fast fwd mode and the EVs are becoming interesting. Because the Prius is lame af! lol
@LawrenceMarkFearon5 жыл бұрын
@@djchrisroxx I convert all my cars to FlexFuel because ETHANOL is another alternative fuel that cuts emissions down to a fraction of gasoline, especially being plant based. Cutting emissions is vital but electric isn't the only choice. ICE cars can run on several clean fuels besides gasoline and keep the existing infrastructure. Butanol and Methanol are clean fuels too. So there's no need for me to follow you into the electric tidal wave. ICE can be clean too, without killing children mining minerals either [which is important too.] Do what you decide is best, but don't kill ICE cars for the rest of us that actually empower us on subfreezing trips.

Lucifire honestly, all the positives wayyyy out way the negatives. Interior is fine and will get better. You need to drive one for 20 min then get into an ICE car and the first time you floor it and it takes the car 2 seconds to downshift and start moving forward, you will understand ...🖐🏽❤️
