So the tesla model y has 14 speakers what about the rest of the speakers?

The car has design with a front sound stage. The other speakers have very limited affect. The most affect would be the dash, door speaker and subwoofer

Is model 3 SR(2022) able to do this upgrade? I remember that there were only 8 speakers in the SR, are there cables for the rest of the 6?

Yes, the model 3 can do the door speaker and dash speaker upgrade. But do not have the Subwoofer in the car

without the sub, upgrading speakers seem useless to me. I'd rather just spend money adding a subwoofer instead.

I only ordered the subwoofer kit from you, and I am extremely pleased. I am not sure if I will upgrade the other seven speakers, however I can honestly say the subwoofer alone made a HUGE improvement in my system. I may upgrade the rest one day, but kudos to you for the time you spent on trials and listening to various speakers to get the best experience possible. Great job.

Why is there no additional amp needed for the upgraded speakers? A stock amplifier normally isn't powerful enough to allow upgraded speakers to perform optimally. Are these speakers specified to operate at what the Tesla stock amplifier provides in power?

Yes, the stock amp is not too bad in a sense. But you are somewhat correct thats why we have bought hundreds of speakers and tested to find the best fit and result to the car. These speakers we recommended all makes decent upgrade compare to the stock speaker

While I do not know that much about this kit, there are certail features like ohm/resistance, but also you have the consideration of sensitivity. So you can actually have "good quality speakers" which have a high sensitivity, that means that they produce a lot of sound with not too much wattage. The Teslas as far as I know use DSP (digital signal processing); if it is true, it would mean it is a very efficcient way of seperating the frequencies between the different speakers. In a traditional crossover in a traditional stereo system, you would add resistors, coils etc to seperate out the frequencies to different drivers. While the traditional crossovers are a known and tried way of doing things, effictively you are wasing the amplifier power which would be better consumed by speaker drivers directly through DSP.

Hi, Yes. As the tweeter would need form tape to wrap around. But the Foam ring for the door speaker depends on the availability, as its not a necessity for the installation

Hi, If you do not have premium sound we actually recommend you to use entry level speaker. For example Alpine S Series S65C. If you do have some DIY skill just get the mount kit from us. Unless you really want to opt for very clean sound, then you can go with DP series.

What about the tweeter ? They are not activated with the standard model 3 right ? So they won't work ?

Yes, you are right for Model 3 SR you would need to use aftermarket harness to activate

Anyone install the facal speaker in their 3 or Y? I am considering ordering this kit, because of the sensitivity of those woofers and it being an 8 inch. The sensitivity of the focal is 93db, anyone knows what's the sensitivity and ohms of the stock speakers?

We dont have the sensitivity of the stock speaker, but its a 4 ohms speaker

Yes we do, but we don't recommend. As the car has a front soundstage. The rear speaker has little affect

Yes, we tested many speakers with the factory amp. Which we install and replace again in the car to find the best one

@@vsanchez1993 The material uses are different, it would for sure has more detail but lesser bass. But you can tune it with the car EQ, the bass is much nicer. If you are looking for more bass you can go with Focal ISU200, which is a 8 inch woofer compare 7inch to the factory woofer

@@vsanchez1993 I dont have the exact value, but from my memory it can fit the Alpine Type R, But it doesn't sound great with the factory amp which is underpower. If you are planning to install other sub, you might want to consider to add aftermarket amp
