I wrapped my BMW a couple years back as my first attempt. Tons of little panels and failing paint because it was a 2003 3 series coupe. I just ordered Matte Metallic Suzuka Grey for my Model Y. How long did it take you? My plan of attack are fenders, doors, and quarter panels one day. rear bumper, trunk, and pillars the next day,. finish off with fronk and front bumper on the last day. Of course if I make up time I'll go further.

Oddly satisfying. I wonder what the learning curve is to be able to do this. If I try to do it on my Tesla, I’d be driving around with a wrinkly-ass wrap with all sorts of creases.

I have a hard time finding people doing the front bumper wrap for model Y. That is the hardest part to wrap. Do you have any video on that? TIA

I clean with a pressure washer but I keep the nozzle about 12-18in away. No on the auto washes

Looks great do people really not do the door jambs? I have a white 3 I want to wrap black and the only guy I spoke to doesn't do the jambs

I’d charge an extra thousand or so to wrap the jambs.. a lot of people don’t want to pay extra. I have a black car so not having the jambs wrapped doesn’t bother me as much as it might on a white car. Most people I work with don’t wrap jambs

Yep, all those videos are on my channel. Things like emblems are all over the internet. I use 15lb test fishing line, braided line is good too.

The front bumper is always done in multiple pieces I just didn’t film it here I believe. Rear bumper is always one

@@dangmatic If it’s white and you don’t disassembly the wrap will look really bad. I didn’t want to disassemble either when I first started, there’s nothing to be scared about. Just remember that these things are designed by humans to be worked on by humans. It’s not rocket science. I also put out a whole step by step series
