The worst part with some of the coding was that previously learned information couldn't be translated over with each new update so with each update it was pretty much having to relearn all of the roads it's already driven on before... Imagine having your memory wiped as a driver and having to be dropped in to a place that you normally drive all the time and not knowing that area at all... When the driver is new to the area they make more problems for the system...

It's not that hard to navigate a parking lot when you're going very slow and you have cameras to prove that you're not at fault so if someone hits you and your Tesla that's driving itself then they will have to pay because Tesla won't be at fault unless there's a rare scenario that happens.

Pothole reporting to local government idea is brilliant! My son is a local township foreman for a road crew and one of the worst jobs he has is having to deal with irate taxpayers who have encountered a newly formed pothole. The faster he gets notification, the faster he can address it. Now, if they can also report flooding (caused by sewers plugged by road debris) would really make life easier for him. Hey, while they are at it, include roadways that are blocked by snow or downed trees. 😊😊😊😊😊. I’m sure there are other ideas, but these are the ones he feels bad about responding to because he has to calm down enraged victims and he becomes the target of that emotional rollercoaster. In AI, you wouldn’t use all of the data, you only need to use like 1 percent. All of the other car companies are waiting to see if tesla can get regulated to autonomy 5 with just cameras. Tesla going to AI instead of handwriting code and testing, was gift and curse. Their handwriting code would giving them an multiple year head-start, now any other car company can put specific drivers on the road and train an ai, to cut into the market share that Tesla would have had. That is why Elon pivoted to Robots as another hype engine, because he know even if they get FSD, their competitors will be there to cut into the market with there own AI.

@@robertberton1638 To understand the difference between Waymo and Tesla. Waymo can be set up to work in any area that they 'geofence' and of course whatever car they outfit to work which is much more expensive than a Tesla by at least double. I don't believe Waymo is looking to get into the business of selling cars to the general public, but I could be wrong. IF, and this is a big IF STILL, if Tesla gets to full level 5 FSD, then the idea is they work in the whole country, suddenly. Also, Tesla is not just potentially a Robotaxi service at that point, but every Tesla has the potential to be an "Uber" theoretically on its own for people that own a Tesla, but most importantly, every Tesla owner would theoretically have the technology to do all of its own driving, but far, far safer than if they did it on their own. Elon should tell the people that if they own a Tesla they will be part of the Tesla family. Almost like you're a part of the company. And the more Teslas that gets sold the less each Tesla costs and the more FSD gets used the less FSD will cost per month. That way more people would just want to own a Tesla because it's going to drop their own price like their part of a family. In addition if he published the amount of car is sold in the amount of people using FSD and then set goals that if they reach those goals it would drop the price of the car and it would drop the price of the FSD. That would make people want to be involved in the numbers that are taking place in the Tesla family business. And then when the Tesla bot comes out you would have credit because you would acquire credit from owning the car and from driving the car and that credit would be applied towards a Tesla bot purchase price. It would be just exactly what Apple does only better cuz Apple doesn't give you any discounts.

For Optimus: teach Optimus how it’s hands work, show it how real people use their hands, and have options do those things. When I grew up my parents showed me how to pickup a ball, a block, clothes, etc. so when I went to work I knew how to use my arms, and hands for similar tasks. When I went to work a factory, I went to a few days of training to learn some functions, then went into the work area and did as I learned. Teach Optimus the basic functions of its body, then show it other things to do, and have it learn how to use it’s parts to do those new things. Teaching Optimus how to do one thing, and never having it do anything else, is inefficient. Give Optimus examples of how to do something, and soon Optimus will figure out how to do those things in ways we never thought it could be done. Similar to how the “GO” game learned to play better then any master player, Optimus can teach itself how to do things better then we ever imagined! Don’t limit Optimus to our limitations, let Optimus be Optimus. For that matter, let FSD be FSD!

On the anime: the american people have spoken. On the learning aspects of FSD for local circumstances not likely present in public maps, I totally agree with JD. If we take Musk's approach to FSD, i.e. how humans do this particular party trick, and extend it, the local learning makes perfect sense. I would guess most people have had the experience of being in a major shopping center parking lot for the first time, and wondering about which rows go where. Where's the exit, etc? After brailling around the lot, we add to our knowledge base and no longer need to do that kind of exploration. Seems reasonable that the ASS module would do the same thing. One could certainly get by without any learning, but it would be a permanent first time experience. Comes down to efficiency, and we know Musk really focuses on that.

@brianscott1978Ай бұрын
I think we can all agree AI SW needs to be solved, not HW. Something I think you guys are missing. Tesla is using mostly the same AI methods as everyone else. Someone comes up with a better AI function, Tesla adopts it. Tesla is singularly developing it's AI FSD model. Tesla as more data, but AI abilities are about the same level. Nvidia is letting every company that wants to use their AI models, use them. So 5, 10, 30, 100 companies are all adding functionality to Nvidia's AI models. Lets say safe/useful FSD AI is 1000x more difficult then a safe/useful robot AI. Basic robot AI is good enough that anyone can now train an AI to control a robot. As everyone trains Nvidia's robot AI, every future companies robot will learn how to walk upstairs faster, with less attempts. At some point, no one will need to train basic skills to any robot AI. Robot AI is far more profitable then FSD, with a far lower bar to achieve profit. AI FSD will become the same. Those 20-30 companies working on Nvidia's FSD AI, will solve different problems. Each of those solutions will be added to the basic functionality of Nvidia's AI FSD. Collaboration will outpace a single company, no matter how far ahead they are. This is where I think Tesla will lose it's advantage over time. Why being able to mass manufacture robots, will be the profit center. Like Apple, their App store makes the majority of their profits, but it's only because they are mass manufacturing iPhones.
@DarylOsterАй бұрын
If for every bot sold (at cost X 3) to industry (to replace human labor) one bot was given to the local library so anyone could check it out for a couple weeks - then Tesla would learn diverse skills much faster by having the public train bots to meet their needs. when Tesla perfects FSD + Actual Smart Summon + Banish, Tesla would also need to install an upgrade that includes evading a potential stalker or carjacking if they’re driving on their own or automatically calling 911 if it detects a potential stalker or carjacking, carjacking is obvious but I’m guessing the algorithm for a stalker/jugging would be it would dial 911 if it’s being trailed by the same vehicle for one hour straight or if that vehicle has been trailing the Tesla and gets within 300 feet of home. That’s going to be one of the primary security/law enforcement concerns that will come up when this tech is completed and perfected.

The pothole fixer automatic is a killer idea, insurance alone would cover the costs and ... Tesla insurance duh. Tesla should solve it on auto with one vehicle filling potholes perfectly and just put that fleet out there for public safety alone. Some type of plasma heated and sealed perfect pothole remover, Super heat the entire hole so it all sets as if its a new road. You just know tesla engineers will be capable of making the pothole never return either... it is just how the Tesla team works. They do not just fix things but make the issue disapear forever. New potholes are instantly located by the fleet and the pothole fixing vehicle is deployed immediately. Call it unit 420 ... the bong hit burner or dugout. 😂🤯

I'm retired at 27, went from Grass to Grace. This video here reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, honest wife, $35k biweekly and a good daughter full of love 🤍

I'm inspired. Please spill some sugar about the bi-weekly stuff you mentioned.

I raised 75k and Christina Ann Tucker is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Christina A. Tucker is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!!

How do think our typical Auto Insurance companies will cover our liability, if our Tesla does cause an accident, while in the Smart Summon mode? I wish I could be insured by Tesla, but they don’t offer insurance in my State (MT).
@zarrothАй бұрын
hopefully they pay through the nose. Machines break down, tech ALWAYS fails at some point. Having no one in the car to handle those situations needs to be against the law. Cars going down the street with no one in the drivers seat, then the person that sent it off needs to be in prison. The risk is just too high, no matter how "polished" the tech becomes.
@chrispapanastasopoulos9192Ай бұрын
Let the insurance companies figure it out. There will be no shortage of data and since the accident will be recorded it will be clear why the accident occurred.
@shannon6876Ай бұрын
@@zarroth You need to be against the law.
@DouglasJMarkАй бұрын
Big concern. Wait, I bet all the Tesla’s cameras will be recording the whole time when in ASS mode. This will determine who’s at fault in the rare case of a collision with another vehicle or, God forbid, another person.

Here is a great suggestion for the gender of the bots, you could have one bim and another, one called bo.
