They can place bigger gearing on the motors but u wont have that insane acceleration even with rimac if u look at the race between the plaid u can see plaid launches quicker than rimac cuz it has smaller gear size but then rimac flys past. Using more than one gear on such powerful ev will be a fail because elon tried that with roadster but the gears were torn apart due to such insane torque.
