conantdog I placed a reservation on 11/2019 and just recently got an invite to build at the end of February. Current eta is between April-June. Hopefully you get yours soon.

When I went to pick up, my Cyber Truck I ended up just canceling the delivery. I noticed the rear quarter panels. The upper part of them was pretty wavy looking straight down them from the back. Are you seeing this anywhere?

Yes, the issue you described has been noted by others. Some early deliveries and pre-production models have had a wavy or uneven appearance in the metal panels. The process of stamping and forming these large, flat panels can sometimes lead to visible distortions or waviness, especially when viewed from certain angles. Tesla is likely working to address these issues as production ramps up. Since that does bother you, I would keep an eye on user reviews and forums that can provide insight into how widespread the issue is and whether improvements are being made. Reddit is usually a good place to start.

What was your reservation number? It would help to get an idea of pace Tesla is progressing through reservations.

@@tesbros Can you add a few more digits? The 1st cybertruck reservation number is 112744100. I am trying to get an idea how many reservations tesla has gone through. 1127 does not help with the calculation. 11274 would also tell me nothing, but 11275 would tell me Tesla went through at least 5,900 reservations with a maximum of 15,899 reservations.

Great video! Waiting to schedule delivery as we speak! It's painful waiting for that app to update 😂 Have you tinted the windows on one? Wondering about how much heat all that glass lets in.

Congrats! Hopefully you get it soon! I have tinted the front windows. Here's a video on it - kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5a1aqSQl5Zpabs - but the rear windows are pretty heavily tinted already which is nice. The massive front windshield is where most of the sun will come in, so I'd just ride around for a few weeks and decide if it bothers you enough to tint that area too.

Just picked up my Cybertruck on the last day of July. I used your checklist and it came in handy, but one thing I found when I got home that the lugnuts were not tight. I had a rubbing noise in the back and wasn't sure what the sound was. I had installed a aftermarket cap on the rim before I left Tesla show room. I didn't get any noise until I was going slow showing some one the truck. I made an appointment but was going to look at the suspension, that when I discovered one nut was almost off and all the other ones were finger tight. Only one was snug but by no means 150 ft lbs of torque.

Glad to hear that our checklist was helpful, but I'm sorry about the issue you encountered with the lug nuts. It's definitely concerning to say the least that they weren't properly tightened. I recommend letting your service center know so they can address the safety issue. Thanks for sharing your experience, and I'm glad you discovered the problem before it caused any serious damage.

How long did you wait once you got the email and you took care the financing, insurance, and signed all paperwork?

Dec 19 order and I did all financing and insurance immediately. I picked it up March 11.

how come you picked up in Florida? Is it a bother charging it during long road trips?

Ji explains in this video about why he went to Florida and his charging experiences on the road back - kzbin.info/www/bejne/amnblmpmp5WFi9k - but basically Tesla isn't delivering trucks in our area right now, but they are in Florida, so he changed his address to a family member there to get it quicker. Charging isn't bad, but does take a bit longer.
