Elon Musk Explains HOW Tesla Produced Optimus Robot Only $10K & Sell Them For $20K! Gen 3 in 2025 ? Musk said it only costs Tesla $10,000 to make each Optimus robot, and he's planning to sell them to customers for $20,000. That means for every 100,000 robots sold, Elon Musk would make $1 billion. It’s pretty wild because Musk said he plans to make billions of Optimus robots, and that could turn Tesla into a $25 trillion company. Building a humanoid robot isn’t like putting a Model Y on the assembly line-it’s obviously a lot more challenging since it’s an AI product. But Musk keeps saying Optimus will cost half the price of an electric car. So, what’s making it so affordable? Welcome to Tesla Car World!
Elon Musk Explains HOW Tesla Produced Optimus Robot Only $10K & Sell Them For $20K! Gen 3 in 2025 ? The truth we can’t deny is that humanoid robots still haven’t gained widespread acceptance among most people. In our opinion, the main reason for this is the lack of achievements or evidence proving that they’re truly useful for the money customers have to spend. No one is going to shell out $20,000 for a robot that functions like a decorative toy that can only move from one corner of the house to another. Sure, some wealthy individuals might buy it, but the majority won’t.
But from a certain perspective, we can see that Boston Dynamics' Atlas robot has been highly regarded for its agility. It’s one of the first humanoid robots to genuinely convince people, as it has demonstrated the ability to perform complex tasks like parkour and transporting goods-skills that most robots, including Tesla Optimus, still can’t achieve. However, its high price tag, around $150,000-equivalent to two Tesla Model S cars-makes it pretty inaccessible. This is part of the reason it hasn’t gained traction and has essentially been shelved, despite being developed over several decades.
Elon Musk Explains HOW Tesla Produced Optimus Robot Only $10K & Sell Them For $20K! Gen 3 in 2025 ? It’s not just the Atlas robot; it’s tough to find any humanoid robot priced under $50,000. This is what makes Tesla Optimus stand out. Elon Musk has mentioned at least three times that its price will be half that of an electric car-$20,000-with Tesla producing it for just $10,000.

Oh, yes. An assistant for the elderly is beyond valuable to any dollar amount. Same goes for a child. Any parent knows how harsh a task it is to give aid to their children at any hour of the early morning, much less the work day. When a nanny robot can be there 24/7, our next generation of kids will grow up in ways we never had available, before. And then, the temptation to keep the kids at home when going out to do almost anything is very likely to factor in to the cost of buying... (renting? More like renting) a nanny robot. (Whom will most likely double as a home study teacher.)

Another great video, thanks! I think the market is over-heated. And I am concerned that people are focusing less on fundamentals and just chanting the mantra of dollar cost averaging and driving the market higher without considering fundamentals. It is a catch-22 for me. I mean I like stock prices going higher but I also hate buying over-priced stocks and ETFs. Personally, I have stopped buying growth ETFs- they are ridiculously over-valued. Dividend stocks and ETFs are a little better but they are still over-valued. There is some hope with small and mid caps. I am not sure they are undervalued but at least they are less over-valued..This pattern offers a valuable insight for strategic planning. Despite these trends, i have delve deeply into active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 442k in the space of a few months... (I feel it is the small things that escaped many) When designing a robot's foot, the key considerations are stability, balance, and adaptability to various terrains. Here are some principles to guide the initial design: 1. Foot Size: A larger foot base provides more stability, especially for humanoid robots. A size comparable to an average human's foot, around 10-12 inches (25-30 cm) long and 4-5 inches (10-12 cm) wide, would be a good starting point. This size offers a balance between maneuverability and a stable platform. 2. Shape: Consider a foot shape that is more rectangular with rounded edges rather than purely human-like. This can improve contact with the ground and distribute weight more evenly, especially on uneven surfaces. 3. Materials and Cushioning: A flexible, durable material like rubber for the sole could improve grip and shock absorption. Integrating sensors to detect pressure or uneven surfaces can help the robot adapt its balance in real-time. 4. Ankle Flexibility: Incorporating a joint that mimics an ankle can provide better adaptation to different surfaces and enhance stability. Starting with the foot is indeed crucial, as it lays the foundation for the robot's overall mobility and balance. Focusing on shock absorption, terrain adaptability, and balance mechanisms can significantly enhance the robot's walking capabilities.

Tell me you don’t understand the difference between cost of sale and net profit without telling me you don’t understand the difference between cost of sale and net profit … in all of retail, including consumer electronics, a 50% cost of sale (gross profit) is actually an average to poor gross profit; all other non-sale costs are then subtracted to leave the pre-tax net profit. In other words, after all costs taken into account and not just cost to produce, he’s not making 10k per item sold

For some companies like amazon who are struggling with having enough people working (Regardless of reason), this seems like a great product. The problem is that there is a far too low minimum wage and not any subventions to hire people, meaning the problem is at the government level. Basically don't hate the player for playing with the rules given. A solution, as seen here in Sweden, is to higher the minimum wage and put in subventions to hire people who are mildly mentally disabled (like semi-functioning autism). A perfect example is McDonald's, I believe they are the biggest employer in Sweden and they get a lot of subventions from the government to hire people.

@@gustavbrochmann - Wages are part of a vicious, never-ending cycle: as wages increase, the cost of living rises due to economic factors. Therefore, raising the minimum wage often doesn't provide real help in the long run. The average worker, putting in hours from 7 to 5, is unlikely to receive any financial support. In the U.S., our government is often perceived as too stingy and greedy for that kind of assistance. While automation and robots may seem like a solution for large companies like Amazon, they pose a significant threat to the job security of the average worker.

The AI shown in the demonstration is completely useless, and if a robot of this level were to be sold, it is highly likely that only a very small number of people would purchase it. This is because at least 10 robots are needed to work like housekeepers. It is divided into dishwasher robots, washing machine robots, switch-on robots, and cooking robots. In any case, it seems difficult to target general consumers with current methods, and new robots will have to be designed or other methods will have to be used. We need Humanoids as soon as possible, the world is getting cruel day t day and robots will save us.

It is said that all robots (Boston Dynamics, Honda Asimo, etc) are remote controlled by human. I read article that Tesla demonstration this time was also the case (human control remotely). Another point is that the robots need not be necessarily humanoid type in the manufacturing plant. Many types of robots are already being used in the plant.

Elon told us the CyberTruck would be just under $60,000 in reality it costs almost $90,000 So let’s not fool ourselves his Robot will cost around $50,000 this will also be reliant on a service contract and AI package or subscription for machine learning software for it to upgrade & operate on, I would suspect a subscription package of at least $150 - $200 per month if not more in the beginning depending on the use you have for your Robot 🤖.

20k is nothing. if that robot can fold clothes , clean , cook and watch the kids I would easily pay 100k. Who ever makes a robot that can cook , clean , say yes boss , have meaningful conversations and at night give you some happy ending . The wife is the first one to go. LOL Man would not need a wife and this would save man millions.

I highly suspect that once the crafty person gets their hands on their own personal robot, he or she will tear it apart, reverse engineer how everything works and release the data to anyone with next gen 3D printers to utilize. We will see just truly how much of that $20,000 grand can be cut down to... pirate style.

yes it is my friend and anyone saying the average person wont get one is massively mistaken or at least the average person should get one assuming elons claims come true about what they can do as you will easily be able to rent them out as workers for other people making bank in the process. i think universal basic income will be necessary very soon after these are mass produced as this will make human workers way less cost effective in most jobs, and im looking forward to a world where we don't need a 9-5 therefore giving us the time and energy to pursue our passions and doing the things that we are actually good at and enjoy doing making the human race way more productive as most people never get out of a depressing 9-5 so never discover what they are actually passionate about making us just drone away not really putting effort into the things we spend the majority of our lives doing

The robot revolution WILL come, it´s inevitable. Luckily there are only two companies that you have to focus on - that is Hyunday (they own 80% of Boston Danamics) and obviously TESLA. Very soon everyone on the planet will want his own robot to do endless task, of even just be a friend. Invest in these now, and you be invested in changing the world FOREVER! This is way bigger than the Internet or the iPhone... imagine you where able to invest in the ENTIRE AUTO industry in the year 1910!

I think each robot should provide income for a human. so its not taken jobs away from people to a point were there is zero jobs for any human. and there for become hated. which will cause riots in cities from people saying there are no jobs Each person has a work robot. if you are disabled etc then you get a care robot too.

tesla can make heaps other companies can't so market will lean towards tesla will be more common and sold more by word of mouth because more people have them in general but figure 02 will be probably second place because its so good and probably hard to buy due to demand this is my predictions so far both bots will be amazing in 5-10 years regardless but for me 20k USD is a bit too much maybe if its around 15k I'd be looking into buying one as they make and sell them its just going to snowball this is going to be epic to watch overtime :D
