I think this character would do good in pvp. Since health potions are not allowed he would just need to teleport and slowly drain the opponent's life.

Best Paladin is FoH with maxed out smite and fanatacism.

Back in the day it was the best pvp character. You could stack the aura through a glitch in the trade screen making holy shock kill in 1-2 ticks. You could easily own everyone in a full duel game.

I've had a blast with this setup some 12 years ago, until champion doll pack in throne ended it. It was my most painful HC loss, but it was so much fun while it lasted. Today I just don't have the time to reach this gear level on d2r.

I always thought the light dmg would be greater then you see here. can you get more light dmg or is this already maxxed? Also a thunderstorm/nova sorc with infinity as a weapon is a fun character, light dmg output is amazing with thunderstorm!

They patched it long time ago, and it was way more than lv 30. You could stack the effect on both holy shock and fire aura items, while failing trading screen due to lack of inventory space. Every time game told you that you don't have enough character inventory space, it failed with closing the trade screen. What happened in the process was that game just stacked another aura levels on top already active ones. It was insane.

Tesladin is bugged and the holy shock CONSTANTLY falls off. You lose a massive amount of damage. This is less than 50% of the build it was on classic.

If you are using Grief, you are wasting your merc's fanaticism. You are already at maz fpa on zeal without it with your gear set up. I would run an act 2 might aura with reaper's toll instead. The Only reason to run a faith act 1 merc is if you are running last wish, to hit the same attack speed as you would with grief. That's what I use, cause I have last wish made. Just my opinion as another tesladin.

@@visbaluz true, but adding grief does not get you to a faster fpa breakpoint. I've tested it. You're still better off maximizing your dps with an act 2 might merc. And if he is using reaper's toll, the decrep is another bonus to your physical dmg.

Agreed. Anyway act 1 merc is only good at player 1... ...Maybe it's because he wants to bypass the decrepify curse, but I didn't check what he needs to reach.

ill try might merce, would pride be a better option as well? i thought fanatic added not only speeed but damage and attack rating meaning more hits landed meaning more dps?? if true more damage is great but if you are missing more than with fanat then whats the point.

I did. No it is not even close to be in the Grief category. Last Wish is an horrible runeword. Extremly low damage compared to other good weapons. The only good thing on Last Wish is the crushing blow, but the IAS is so slow that it's shit. In a Phase Blade even if the IAS is not terrible, is not good, because the damage is far to low. There is no way around. Maybe if you want to be unique you can give your merc act 5 a last wish, but the act 2 merc with might aura is so good that it will be better so there is no point. Only smitters can use it and still be good, but even then, grief is so much better even in that case. I did even talk about the cost of this insane runeword.

So I just made this dual dream and grief. Before i put any skill on conviction i use infinity on my merc and its actually enough so i don't need to put any point on conviction. I can alocate the skills to fansticsm or concentration. Now I'm a bit confuse which skill should I take

If you went the infinity route, Fanaticism is a good option for the attack rating. The issue you will run into is when running Ubers. You won't have a high enough Conviction level to cancel out Meph's.

@@ShaveItDown dont you use crushing blow to kill uber? By the way i "Accidentaly" Put my points to holy shock aura. Is it just me or the holy shock aura damage is much higher like this? Is it becauss it pulsing two times from my skill and from dream set? I notice when i run in chaos I almost dont need to hit and they all dead before I can reach them. After I redo my skills without holyshock aura, now I need to hit them too. Is it just coincidence?

@@wongerenade6934 Hmmm, interesting. I don't know the answer to running holy shock aura through dream and on the tree. The attack rating is good, because you need to hit to proc open wounds, deadly strike and CB. Crushing blow is not going to be as effective the lower the health goes, so deadly strike and open wounds will be increasingly more important. You can always add additional points into smite and use that on ubers if you are struggling with attack rating. I have 1 point into smite and with my plus skills it does some damage. I haven't run ubers yet with only using my smite skill, but I have done Baal runs. Smite with low investment is still slower than using Zeal with around 4.5k attack rating, based on my testing.

I am having an issue. Got my dream shield and helm just chilling in my stash till its (hopefully) fixed. There are a ton of other people who have the issue when checking through d2s bug forum.

@@77edwilson Its not fixed.. i made these and sold them immediatly once i realized that tesladin is broken. Furthermore.. this has been bugged since beta and not a single Blue post to acknowledge it either.

@Vanchous oh yea 100% that’s d2 down to a tee though you make a budget character and farm for your dream character. I usually start Blizz Sorc, convert to OrbWall for versatilty then farm for high end gear for my Hammerdin, then convert Hammerdin to Tesla. But your talking years of farming unless your someone who spends like 12 hours a day running Pindle to the point you want to blow your brains out 😂😂

@Level change it’ll be two piece Dream, Enigma armour, descent movement speed boot’s Anything that’s grant’s faster attack speed as gloves/ring’s etc You 100% must have immunity to being frozen to use Tesla though, you get locked into zeal animation and get frozen in hell mode you will die guaranteed.

The holy shock aura isn't really about it's AoE dmg (although it does add up and clears out small/ low hp enemies well), it's more about the added Lightning dmg on each hit from a Holy Shock aura with a higher level you would normally reach, but now with 0 point investment, and still stacking all the synnergies. All in all, this is still as good as it gets for a melee pvm build but that says more about melee in D2 then your trapsin/ javazon/ blizz sorc or whatever other caster you compare them too.

Very expensive, so you basically need to be a non working person to afford it. The build is fun (which the game is about), but yet a hammadin has faster kill speed in ChaosSanc, is much more affordable and natively has 200+ mf.

Dream naturally has up to 25 mf each, you can run gold wrap since u don’t need the cast speed from arach, and most important you don’t need skiller charms as tesla so u can pump your whole Inv with 7% mf charms, also swap grief for last wish for another 40+ mf. Tesla has probably one of the easiest ways to stack mf without sacrifice anything
