Teslas are so cool. Can't wait until battery technology allows a Tesla to go 1000 miles or more on a single charge. I'm so sick of my gas vehicle. Tired of the creepy people at gas stations. @@bradbond07 well clearly there is no god that earthlings didn't invent, though i can understand martin's wanting to be able to travel very far distances as if it was nothing, because people really only do have a limited lifespan to work with. Maybe even going off on it's own to make deliveries for those times when you didn't want to be on the road. Then the costs of shipping or driving fatigue would be greatly reduced for everyone.

I want to know about this new battery technology they are playing with. Dry cell batteries that are easier to produce, cheaper, and more powerful. It only gets better from here.
@dogphlap67495 жыл бұрын
@@Guy-ky9mc If you are referring to the Maxwell dry electrode tech that apparently has a lot of potential to speed up production and maybe increase energy density 2 or 3 fold. It does not make dry cells though, they will still utilise a lithium rich electrolyte that is just as wet as it ever was. Solid state cells are another thing, they have yet to appear in production quantities, as far as I know Tesla has no plans to make those but I'm sure they are keeping an eye on developments.

I thought the same thing, I'm curious to know when he thinks we will see Maxwell tech in Teslas. Additionally we have heard what Maxwell technologies thinks their tech is capable of but I'd be curious to hear what Elon thinks is possible and what we can expect to see in the upcoming years.

@@nickg2691 Interesting point, the Maxwell website used to show batteries as well as Supercaps. All mention of batteries has been removed. That's good FUD suppression. (Sooner than you think.... In my opinion)
