At first I parked off the highway, one of the free parking spots, but eventually I did get told by police I couldn’t sleep there. After that I parked at the nearest tesla supercharger about 10min down the highway from Vail. I’ve never had problems sleeping at supercharger locations.

How did you get to the mountain if you left you car so far away? The bus stops at the rest station? Was it the Edward’s rest station the cops told you to leave? I’ve read good reviews on that test stop…

Well unlike a gas car, Tesla can run the hvac system without needing to run the “engine/motor”
