Two wonderful singers. If I have her birthdate right, Carteri was only 28 years old here. I hope she had a happy life after her early retirement. But as an opera fan, my goodness, such a loss. Imagine her voice and performance maturing for another 20 years. What we missed.

An absolutely gorgeous young woman with an astounding voice that was as great as any in her time such as Tebaldi or Callas. The only thing lacking was more time since she retired from the stage at such a young age. What a treasure!

Bland lyric soprano. Eleanor Steber sounded better and would have been a better choice. The vocal acting needs more work for the guy, though Rosanna Carteri’s physical acting is adequate. The only thing going for this video is the costumes and sets. So to the die hard egocentric nonsense promoters saying this is Opera, only in your subjective opinions and it doesn’t mean your right.

You're probably one of those who think that today's way of singing opera is the right one. You sound quite average and too judgmental. The tenor's voice is beautiful and he sings very well. Maybe you should just stick to the back of the throat wobbling singers of today.
