@@athinaparianou7025 i think if he did that it would hinder the performance. Being as relaxed as possible while singing in the higher register (or any register) is one of the characteristics of a really good singer that uses proper technique. You can tell he is not straining in the slightest which is really cool
@Queenmania20074 жыл бұрын
@@LucresntBlade One of the things that makes vocalists like Dan remarkable is that he can sing with apparently little effort - focus on "apparently". It's bordering on insulting to imply he is not trying or putting in emotion; this man has spent years perfecting his technique and pours emotion into everything he does. If you can't see that here then you never will.

His style is different from others, amazing how he effortlessly scream, so calmly, without cupping the mic.
@retrohipster9944 жыл бұрын
A lot of the time performers will cut the mic when singing on stage because you really don't want to go to Crazy loud vocally in a scream after night. So they'll cup the microphone so they don't have to stress their vocal cords as much to be loud. because Dan is doing this in studio and has a greater ability to play with vocal Dynamics his microphone is set much more sensitive then you would see on a normal stage performance. (Also he is using a stage condenser and not a dynamic mic like the sm85) If you were to cup the mic it would cause serious clipping and Distortion in this scenario. this difference is also why Dan sounds quite a bit different singing on stages. They can't have the microphone sensitivity too high or they will cause serious feedback so they rely on more powerful vocals through sections that would normally be more quiet. In order to do those parts Dan has to basically use a different vocal technique when he is seeing them on a loud stage so that he doesn't strain his voice.
@irockmajorly4 жыл бұрын
@@retrohipster994 also, to build on that, Daniel uses pitched fry screams for his screaming technique, which is significantly louder than most other screaming techniques, so he wouldn't need to cup the mic
