I have to admit, you turned me onto nvx and I have a system in my 03 4runner. I have the nvx 4 channel amp installed inside the dash, with the mid range components in the front and the rear has coaxials. The sound is crystal clean and everyone who gets in can’t believe how great it sounds. Nothing that will blow your socks off but for 1 ten and all door speakers/tweeters replaced it’s amazing. I’m sold on their products. My son is 8 and when he gets the old enough his first vehicle will be legit! All thanks to Doug! PS….i miss Rafa 😂, those days with Rafa were excellent but I still love the channel

Little bit of advice if u don't know which is positive and negative take the speaker ends and a 9 volt battery and test it if the sub pushes out connect it like that to the Amp if it gets sucked in swap the wires and test it again on the battery

Love the Mule! Since you have to do substantial paint work, including blending, would it make sense to consider a new color? What about Porsche "Mexico Blue" or Orange? So here for everything, but especially the Mule project - Interior finish, sound dampening, paint/body. Many good episodes to go I should think.

I own those mics.... Go into the settings from the computer and set them for auto compression. It will turn gain up when it's quiet and dial the gain back before distortion

The mixture of metals(copper, aluminum, steel) in your terminals will cause corrosion to form, and a static charge will develop causing your sealed box to sound like a band pass box loaded with GM 6x9s that are missing the foam surround. Just beware of that and discharge the radical static charge to ground every know and then.

Have you ever tested with box fill (flame resistant insulation - looks like pillow stuffing) in a smaller box, to slow sound waves. Supposed to 'trick' the box into acting like it's larger than it is. Or is this not a thing anymore?

That's a myth....it does help but not for the reasons stated. We use the Black hole Stuff and it's actually used in sealed enclosures as it cools the enclosure from the woofer dissipating the heat and a woofer stays much more controlled when the temperature inside is at ambient air temperature
