Brilliant demo. I've been using Xray for two years now and I learned many things that I didn't know before from watching this demo. I will be circulating this video link to my colleagues to continue championing Xray in my organisation.

I wanted to know that,, are we able to create test execution report for two combined different project which are created separately but has some links with each other. Now I applied filter to retrieve all issues belong to that two project and but when I try to create test execution report it is showing issues related to selected project but not other project. Which is not selected as project in jira. Please reply me the solution for this one..

Hi I have configured all issue types test, test set , test plan, pre condition and test execution but while creating the test I m not seeing the test details, test set, test plan and precondition and issue links. When ever trying to create the test only one tab is viable where similar to what we see while creating story issues etc.

Interesting topic, but that microphone is atrocious! Suddenly too loud, then I can't understand what is said because it almost muted itself.

Hi, Is there anyway to take test(s) from the repository, and clone or transfer to a new project / test set/ execution, and then modify the test from the repository to fit the new project without updating the original test case from the repository? i.e I have 3 test case (Generic) in repository, and I have a new project that would use the 3 test case, once in new project I will slightly modify each test case to fit project. But I don't want the 3 test case in repository altered since we want to use these for multiple projects

Yes, it is possible to clone Test cases into other projects. If you want to keep the exact same place in the test repository it is best to export the Test cases into csv and import them back into the new project, since the clone operation does not keep the test repository path. But the Test Case Importer can read the Test Repository path (and it is possible to export the Test Repository path into CSV also). So using the CSV it is possible to map, export, and import the repository path and keep the same path in the new project.

Hi, I am seeing your tests have status as “open”. Can you tell me once the test case status is changed to “approve” how can I update the test steps ? Can that be done without creating a clone?
@XrayApp3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Xray issue types work with workflow status the same way any as any other Jira issue. So by default, you can update the steps on almost any status, unless a given status is configured to block the edit. You have control over this as this is configured at the workflow, so you can decide to set that configuration in your workflow to prevent or allow editing of the issue information.

As a business analyst I can select an automated test from the repository in Xray, execute it against a build of the system under test, and receive test results back in Xray Test that: A xray user can select one or more Xray Test Cases or Test Sets from a Story Xray user can trigger the execution of the Test Cases or Test Set A passing test returns a passed status to Jira/Xray A failed test returns failed status to Jira/Xray A failed test case triggers creation of a Jira Bug The detailed console output is returned as an attachment Follow the attachment for the acceptance criteria. (Note: Jira Workflow will be a separate story) Can you help me out this query using xray , i am using rest api

Hi Mahesh, sorry for the late reply here, but if you, or anyone, needs help with a similar process to what you're describing it would be better to open a ticket directly with our support team through jira.getxray.app/servicedesk/customer/portal/2
