For fish with big teeth, I use Flex Coat Hi Build Rod Finish. It stays a bit more flexible than regular epoxy and doesn't scratch as much.

How about yellowing? Which one yellowed more?
@chrismihulka-nwfishingstuf38523 жыл бұрын
I have found through years of use, that the quicker they cure, the more they tend to yellow with age. Five minute of any brand yellows quickly while longer set brands don't. They starting color will also be a big clue. After a few months of sitting in my shop, with no UV exposure, the ones that are still water clear are Art & Glow, East Coast Resin, and Alumilite Clear.

That mixing gets poor precision whereas it is really matter for getting a decent hardness. A proper way would be putting a cup on scale and measure the ratio precisely by pouring components with syringe. That would mean you need to find density first. And sometimes you would need to find exact ratio that gives max hardness by making few samples varying components by 5% as 1:1 by volume is not always the best one. And might be important to shake A and B bottles to make them uniform before measure. And waiting longer before demoulding also may be important for max hardness.

@@officialwalldoe6988 Are you pouring cubes in a mold, or coating them on the outside? If pouring, the one that remains the clearest after curing. If coating a vertical surface, the one that cures the quickest.
