Thanks so much for posting this. I remember clearly the night was broadcast - it was my first exposure to industrial music and I was fascinated.

Way back when, I heard they performed live with Diamanda Galas. That must have been amazing and brutal.

Awesome - gosh I wish this was available in high quality! So sad so much of the early real industrial music is so poorly preserved. Though in a way it kind of adds to the raw deconstructing charm of it all. lol. Thanks for posting!

I had this on the miners strike fund raiser lp with the Welsh miners choir. I didn't like it at the time and let a friend talk me into giving it to them for a birthday present.

They copycated SPK. Nice video tho.
@SulciCoilective8 жыл бұрын
you're kidding, SPK fused industrial with Eurodisco, ugh!
@Neurozumim3 жыл бұрын
@@SulciCoilective No, originally SPK was a standout true industrial band. But it's really dismissive to accuse Test Dept. of copycatting when they have explored so many interesting avenues musically. I don't think anyways that a music genre should stop at one band generating it. There are so many rock bands, hip hop acts, why should there only be a handful of original industrial bands? It's a genre. I would love if more bands today were using extensive percussion sets as Test Dept. did, their concerts were amazing.
