I had a '67 Nova coupe that I bought for $900 in pieces in the 90's. No engine or trans but it had a great body with only a little rust in the trunk pan. I had the whole thing walnut blasted and I primered with K200 and self etching primer. Had new dropped leaf springs added with a brand new 9" Curry Detroit locker rear end. Added 8" Weld wheels with BFG's in the back. After spending a total of $5,800 I sold it for $3800. One of my biggest regrets, but I was in my 20's and didn't have the money to finish it. I was planning to paint it black, lower it and add a 400 small block. This was the closest I ever got to driving her. Thank you for the post.
