The next in our series of test drives of the Q50R wheelchair which is ideal for indoors but also has some outdoor capacity.
This film is also an introduction to our upcoming collaboration with the Kate Drewitt of Fat Squirrel Outdoor Co (fatsquirreloutdoor.co.uk/) who are based in West Oxfordshire and Foxburrow Wood is one of their activity venues.
These test drives have opened our eyes to the vagaries around advised accessibility routes within the countryside. We will continue to test drive this particular chair, showing the terrain it thrives and struggles on, which can help you decide if you want to purchase one.
We will also in the future be challenging the accuracy of the advised accessibility routes out in nature, inviting decision makers to join us, to ensure these routes are truly accessible and maintained, building on what has already bee achieved.
Ultimately we want to reframe what countryside accessibility is, as it's more than just catering for just the mobility impaired, we need to consider cognitive, hearing, and sight impairments too.
