In a game in which you’re suppose to earn your status, they’ve omitted some of the fundamental brands that help us get there. No Honda, Toyota, Subaru, or Mazda. So that means no Type R’s, S2000’s, Supras, Celica’s, STI’s, RX7’s or Miata’s. Not for nothing but there are some very wealthy folks who adore their JDM cars. I know of people who have traded in Porsches for Miatas. That alone was enough for me to pass.

The TDU franchise has never featured a lot of these brands. Only the newest model of subaru in TDU2 and the 350z and 370z in TDU1 and TDU2 respectively. Those aren't compatible with the personality the series has, which is more geared towards luxury car collections.

To be fair Project Gotham Racing 2 has a better selection of vehicles than TDU: Solar Crown. PGR2 came out 21 years ago and has Hong Kong too as well as real-world shop brands unlike TDUSC. It's clear that the street racing sub-genre is regressing. Who's is buying a 2CV or a Beetle? Where are the cars from the 1990's? Pretty mediocre car list, all things considered. Going by the personality of Test Drive Unlimited as a franchise (which is geared towards luxury car collections), I find the absence of Pagani to be a far bigger crime than a lack of JDM. TDU2 has a few Paganis for you to check out, and the fact that the brand is completely absent in this game is puzzling. I hope that Pagani eventually gets added, and that the car list in general gets improved. I also hope that they continue to focus on supercars and luxury cars.

R34 is actually exist on the first game fyi, Supra is another topic unfortunately still, you think that this game could've took the opportunity to put stuff like R34 Nismo Z-Tune, R35 Nismo, R33 Nismo 400R, or even newer stuff like Nissan Italdesign GT-R 50, Nissan Skyline 400R Sprint Concept, Hyundai N Vision 74, Hyundai iONIQ 5, Lexus RCF Fuji Speedway Edition, Hyundai Genesis '13, and Kia Stinger instead of different trims of Ford GT (including the 2005 one as a DLC/pre-order bonus) and new gen Audi R8's?

The Nissan R34 was in TDU1 and fits the game more than a 1st Gen Beetle and a Citroen 2CV that somehow made it into TDU2 and TDUSC. The car selection in TDUSC makes no sense. There are only 3 cars from the 1980's not even a Testatrossa and nothing from the 1990's. You can't get away with that today. I bet KT have a lot of DLC car-packs ready. No street racing game has a better curated car selection than PGR 2. Even TDU1's vehicles are better than TDUSC.

Too many super cars that had appeared in many racing games so the car list does not surprise me much. Bored on stuff like Porsche 918 and Laferrari that appear on almost all racing games. I would rather be more surprised if I see a Civic, Lancer, or even Toyota Crown Comfort emblematic of HK. What a good work of KT. It seems like they pay little attention to the context of the game. It is better to get more license of Asian cars than indulging in exotic supercars

The game still feels undercooked, and the hybrid of simulation and arcade just puts the whole game experience in uncanny valley if that makes sense, I think the developers was so determined to one up TDU2 to a point where they kind of lost some of its original magic, all we need is a TDU2 with incredible graphics, new cars, better car customization and less of this futuristic nonsense more real life stuff, That's my pov at least.

on the most part, the community would agree with this! game definitely needs work in some areas, with overall optimisation (again). They are a small team, so a big task for them to take on + might be a higher up decision to go with the live service route for stuff like the housing / motorbikes / etc in future updates.
