Test Driving My Soho Supercharged 370Z (Gone Wrong)

Today we take the Z out after installing soho’s revision kit.
Shout out to soho motorsports for helping me figure these belt issues and for sending replacement parts!

I have a Soho kit and hardly any issues at all. This honestly seems to be a mix of bad luck and possibly poor installation.

Yea I talked to them about it. They honestly said it’s 50/50 with these kits. Some are good some are bad you don’t know til you test it.

Mine started to fray after 150 miles, im waiting for the new belt revision as well and it should ship out in Oct. Soho has been upfront and working with me on this also. Plus its 110 degress in Phx so im still waiting for boost weather anyways, just driving it around the block in the early am to keep fluids moving 🙂

I have the same kit, so far so good minus a belt going. It’s been pretty good for 7k, road tripped it from NorCal to Arizona then back to GA. Time will tell.

I feel the frustration man i have been going through the same bullshit shredded 7 belts so far then had to have my blower rebuilt due to a failed bearing, id have them check out your blower i have a suspicion that it threw a bearing due to it injecting belt material

Your fuel pressure is way too high, should be set to 51-52 psi off vacuum. Once you add a reference to your fpr it should drop into the 40s

I have the og cog setup, the only difference is i dont have the top tensioner. Only the bottome one. Try taking off the top tensioner and tighten the bottom tensioner cuz i have 0 issues with only the bottom one

@@JC-gs2nbehh I’d say it just takes a specific investor to make due. There’s lots people with large collections worth tens of millions and I’ve had the chance to see it for my self. My grandfather bought two ford GT40s back in 2006 and 2011 when the second iteration came out. He sold one in 2017 I think and kept the other. That specific cars price is five times what he paid for it today. Life’s too short to drive boring cars. It’s not about seeing what’s more important in fact I think anybody who would consider buying a car as an investment already posesses a nice property and portfolio. You said you’ve been doing this 20+ years, right? So you must have a decent amount of money. In my opinion I think you should to buy a corvette or any nice car and treat yourself a little after working so much😉
