I know alot of people don't really like the werehog form of sonic but I like it! It's cool and quite unique! Plus sonic already smashes a bunch of stuff anyway so why not let him smash even more stuff especially with stretchy arms! :D loved the game! Although the final boss on PS3 I hated it so much so many deaths! So much button mashing!

Oh, hey, I think I remember seeing the odd panel from this comic while scouring the interwebs. At first, I didn't know what to think of the voices. They sounded really similar to each other, but after re-watching, it seemed like Sonic's voice was made a little deeper and gruffer while he was in Werehog mode, which totally works. I also had dumb expectations because I'm so used to people giving Shadow a darker, edgier register. This style feels more like a blend of SA2's and Jason Griffith's depiction of the character before he was made an absolute edgelord. That's great since the comic creator gave him a more... pleasant demeanor? At least he's trying to be more civil towards Sonic, and I think that was captured pretty well here. Just read the description, and holy crap, this was done in one take with a new set-up? That is seriously impressive, especially since the emotion and cadence of how the characters speak sounded pretty natural for most of the video (I only noticed a slight stumble in delivery when Sonic transformed back, but even that was a small, mostly unnoticeable thing). It even sounds like Shadow had a slight florish or accent for some lines. It's hard to describe what exactly was going on with his line delivery, but it was strangely adorable to hear. Adding in some of the game music and sound effects really helped make the video more immersive, too. It'll be really interesting to see what else might be done with this comic. Thanks for sharing such a high-quality test run! Edit: spelling mistakes fixed.

Hey! Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! I had a lot of fun adding the music and sound effects--and it will definitely continue in the full version! Despite the fact that I grew up with Griffith, Humphrey is still my favorite Shadow, and I tend to mimic him the most. If I had to make any excuses, the single take did contribute to them sounding similar ^^;. I'm totally looking forward to doing more!

@Canine You're welcome, and it's awesome to hear how much fun you had with this! It's totally understandable that since this was a test run and one take that the characters sound similar. I'm looking forward to hearing how their voices become more refined and distinguished as things progress. Oh, and Humphrey! That's right, that's Shadow's OG voice actor's name. I personally grew up more with Griffith too, so I have a positive bias towards how he voiced both Shadow and Sonic (especially in later games. Sonic's line delivery in the Secret Rings and Black Knight was just *chef's kiss*) but Humphrey is definitely a second favorite. Cheers! Edit: grammar
