Citroën is the best option because: 1. Lowest price. 2. Lowest consumption per Km. 3. Better confort TO DRIVE AND SECURITY; Extra high standing if necessary in a countryside road. 4. Full tank of 70 Liters ! Same as Volkswagen Sharan ! It also means how long you can drive without re-fueling your tank (= autonomy). 5. High Cx profile to drive on highways with low resistance to the air. 6. If engine is a reliable 2.0 hDi or a TDi only the turbo isn't enough good. About the esthetics I don't care so much.

Citroen also said the Xantia Break HDI had a Diesel Consumption of 4.8l on 100km! Even Today a ton of Diesel Combis can't get close to that.

I always did like the first Mondeo but why would you choose the sedan over the hatchback. Apparently the fact the Xantia doen't come as a sedan is a negative point in this review. But what is the point of sedans!

Hydractive suspension on a Xantia SX? I thought only the VSX had this system.

Depends on the model year. It became an optional extra on the SX for the '96 model year. Before that, it was fitted on every two-litre Xantia. At least in the Netherlands, that is. I don't think the 1.8 was ever fitted with hydractive suspension, even on the SX (or even on the later 1.8 Exclusive, for that matter)

I remember our 1994 Mondeo 2.0 as a very good car, but a gas guzzler: 11,9 km/liter was very optimistic, 8 km/liter in real life.

Nie można porównywać tych trzech pojazdów, jeżeli jeden ma całkiem inne zawieszenie i resztę podzespołów ... Te dwa złomy, do Xantii nie pasują . Xantia też nie pasuje do reszty . To są odrębne tematy.

I agree. Still, in terms of handling and steering the mondeo beats most of his rivals.. It was something else at the time, dispite the awfull looks.
