The MAN Co, builds a very nice 10T as far as the little bit of smoke it looks like and mildly cold engine to me. Its really interesting to look at the differences and similarities between the American HEMTT and the Tatra and the MAN, lots the same but lots different based on where their FOCUS is. I own a M977 HEMTT and you look at that truck and it gives up a lot of offroad ability to the Tatra in order for it to haul a huge amount of weight. I wonder how it is to get parts for a truck like this in the USA?

This engine burns quite some oil, is that normal for this type of truck?

I guess the engine was still cold. But it's normal for the MAN Kat I to produce some smoke.
