Now I m assigning marks it is measurement then u said interpretation of marks is assessment in numbers I m unable to grasp this because I want to stick on this example how assessment is defined in this particular condition when I took test and assigned marks now what would be the next action of mine would be considered as asessment

5/10 marks of Asif sb is measurement. I write/or tell students that asif sb had 2/10 in last paper, now he is progressing. It is assessment. 5/10 is measurement . Asif sb is progressing in maths is interpretation of your performance is assessment.

Assigning marks (measurement) does not give any sense therefore we interpret it in words or sentences it is called assessment (it is ongoing). When whole process is completed and we give final judgment, then it becomes evaluation (Pass / Fail ).
