Probably the best and coziest training camp of the year with the team aka second family in Oberhof. Best teammates and best place and best coaches and staff!! It restricts the amount of oxygen intake. Which intern can help strengthen the lungs, VO2 max etc

Hello Ingrid! What is the name of the device you are using on the tunnel?

Hi Miquel. Clearly I'm not Ingrid, but I believe she is using a GO2 mouth piece. It works by adding resistance to one's exhalation. There is a flap that opens to keep the inhale natural,but closes so that the exhale has resistance which is known as - positive end expiratory pressure. In theory when using this device more oxygen would be able to make it into the blood stream, so an athlete might be able to do more efforts/intervals or more sub LT1 (endurance) endurance time. I'm guessing the ski facility they are at is at attitude, so she would be able to do efforts like she was at sea level (harder intervals). I hope that helps.
